UPDATE :
Received my approval today.
I am from High Risk country. It took five week for decision.

I am very happy and thankful to GOD.
Good luck to all. keep faith. you will have your approval very soon.
@ Budmash you will get it soon keep it up.
Mods here should consider banning Astrid24. This thread is for timeline and he keep posting his nonsense all over the forum.

HIGH RISK COUNTRY THEORY did not work in my case. I have all kind of problems (unpaid council tax bills, debt collectors, parking fines. etc). I suppose its UK life.

i am employed and self employed as well. I did not ticked self employed box in form. and I have underpaid PAYE (tax on employment) bill outstanding.

@Budmash. No Yaar, They used my prepaid special delivery envelope. when I checked it yesterday on Post Office website , it was tracking as "out for delivery".

@njoy1987:My tax liability will be cleared automatically slowly over the years. ( I am paying BR (basic rate) on my employment). I made it disappear from my online HMRC account before my application but I know its outstanding and being paid.   ( I am accountant)

Regarding "HIGH RISK COUNTRIES THEORY", I am not sure now it is true as my application took only five weeks.
Well, I may be lucky.

On the other note, my mate who is Pakistani and work for a a large firm goes to Europe on official trips regularly, his application for schengen visa by his company takes two weeks. all other staff visa application takes only 48 hours.
He was told by company solicitor that there are extra checks for his applications and the process require approval from more the one European country.
Today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday

Don't do too much Budmashi lest they revoke your citizenship ;) they have been doing that quite frequently lately.

Anyone else received their approval this week, haven't seen much happening this week. This sudden slowness could be because HO caseworkers might have taken annual leave, remember its summer holidays in schools and parents tend to take holidays when children are off from school.

If you are a citizen of one of the following countries, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Somalia, Palestine, Jordan and few other middle eastern countries. Expect a delay of upto 3 - 6 months from the date of application.

there are many people from these countries waiting and they have applied in Feb - April. I assume HO makes some other checks on these nationalities which takes longer.

Are you sure this is true? I am waiting for over 3 months and am belongs to one of the countries u mentioned. I heard this before but was not sure it was true as HO didn't mention it anywhere. tnx for info
This was an assumption, if you look through the timeline you will see there are so many people from these countries who had to wait between 2 - 6 months. For example following authors are still waiting or had to wait for long time: ayesha11, ikk1980, ukforever, syedyasir4, Mrs Azad, miyazi78, abedul_ala, fiqbal, saadmushtaq, ya75khan, Sorry2 and many more.

By looking at the trend I think citizens of the following countries Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Somalia, Palestine, Jordan and few other middle eastern countries are subject to additional inquiries and checks.

Home Office will never mention this anywhere to avoid backlash from the public. This is the research that I carried out. There are so many applicants who received their approval within 2 weeks after submitting the application and none of them are from the countries mentioned above. This has to be HO's internal classified policy.
I have noticed that too, I submitted my application early June and I saw others who submitted in June have already been approved.

I come from the Middle East.

I don't know what to call this. Is it not discrimination to a race / religion.

Why UKBA judge an individual by his/ her own home country specially for someone like that j spent most of my life in the uk.

Very annoying.
as some member said: HIGH RISK COUNTRIES. they have to check background of people from all those countries. even some european countries takes longer to issue visa.

This askmeplease82 is a mad mullah from the middle east, posting incoherently in all forums, alleging beloved, bullying, accusing others of being wrong. either he is on a hookah or he is teasing serious and anxious folks who are applying for naturalisation.

Best is to ignore him.
