Call for "Genuine Earning Test" interview at Sheff

Guys, just a quick question.
Is this interview call applicable to only those showing earnings from self-employment?
How is interview effecting someone going for same day appointment?

This interview is for everyone who applied after 6 September 2013.
I had my interview on 7th November and still waiting to hear from them.
I am a Ltd company owner and also in employment.
The interview is for 35-45 minutes and they will ask you from day one you came to UK until now,so prepare for everything especially the dates of visa extensions and PSW.
Some members has already discussed interview questions in detail so go through them as most of the questions they are asking are same.

But i have observed so far is all those who have been interviewed have their earning contribution from self-employment? yet to know someone interviewed for all earnings claimed from being employed. Correct me if i am wrong.
Also if i go for same day, will this interview will be part of appointment, and i hope they take decision same day rather than defer it into postal mode?

They can call anyone either on self employment or LTD company director.
There was a case just like urs...
One of the guy on this forum went for same day in March.
They kept his documents and was called my the interview in Oct and was granted visa 2 weeks ago.
Its all depends on ur luck and case worker..
Just be confident and prepare all the questions and u should know all the extension dates and courses u have done while u were student

Does it come seperateley now a days???? Is it normal hat they send seperately??? Pls let me know guys thankssss

NOT until now.

I think and according to the posts in this forum only self employed and Limited company directors who are receiving dividend/salary from their own company received the interview call.

Hello guys mine interview was on 7th nov and it was only 22 mins only in sheffield and my question was 80% similar to nuts for dinner ...I am stil for my brp card my wife got her brp the same day we received our passports but not mine...so guys is it normal the ukba send seperately brp for the applicant and dependant pls put some light on it thanks guys and goodluck

I have received a same letter from UKBA but I am not going for an interview because as per LAW this Genuine Earning test interview is not applicable for anyone who applied before the changes to the immigration Rules which is effected from 1st October 2013 . I have consult with a Barrister and after studying the case he is agree to put an application first to UKBA and if UKBA don't agree then we will go to the High Court . HSMP is point base system if you have qualify 80+20 points , you are eligible to get a visa unless you have any false documents .

If anyone has same scenario contact me , I already have 5 applicants and if anyone wants to join please don't hesitate to contact.

If your earnings are genuine I'm not sure why you would bother? I'd understand if you attended the interview and they wrongly held that your earnings weren't genuine, then I would take it to court. But if you nothing to hide, what does it matter?

Thank you everyone for their support and info, it all helped me through the tough 8 month journey. Finally glad that I got my approval last week (13Dec2013).

I applied: 5th April 2013
Bio Done: 20th April 2013
Interview Attended: 14th Nov 2013
Approval : 10th Dec 2013

I'm employed and self employed (not Ltd company). The questions asked in the interview were almost the same as posted by kissmemissme.

I'm going to apply for my tier general extension in person on 16th January 2014 at Croydon office. My salary earnings are £2,000 and rest of around £33,000 is from self employment.

My first tier 1 general visa was on totally self employment and I showed £35,000 BUT I HAVE PAID TAX ON ONLY £10,000.

I attended for the interview yesterday (08 / 01 /14). I have been asked similar question that already posted in this Forum but They also questioned me about the initial Application as well. So the one who got appointments, I would recommend to prepare for that as well
