Just spoke to HO. They say that there's been a number of calls, not to worry. What happens is that once the applications arrive they are distributed to case agents. Some work slower than others - but all is in process. The problem is of course we don't have case numbers until our payments have been taken and applications registered on the system. As such, nothing to do until the payments are taken.

I kind of thought the same, ours been with the same caseworker. He/she might have gone for holiday for a week, hence nothing happens this week.

No, I did not consult any body and i followed guidance/booklet, it is clearly mentioned in the booklet section 5 i.e.
Please note: if your absences are up to 730 days we would expect you to have been resident in the UK for the last
7 years.

5A1. For absences exceeding 730 days (or 450 days for 6(2) applications) we would expect you to have been resident in the UK for the last 8 years (5 years for 6(2) applications) unless the absences were a result of either:
• A posting abroad in Crown or designated service (see section 10). For example, as a member of HM Forces, or as the husband, wife or civil partner of a British citizen serving abroad in Crown or designated service; or
• An unavoidable consequence of the nature of your work. For example, if you are a merchant seaman or someone working for a UK based business which requires frequent travel abroad; or

I went outside uk on business more than 460 days and remain days paid annual leave. all the time there is NO Tax and NI break during my absenses.

Please I have a quick question to the people who used NCS. I want to know if your BRP card was sent off to HO as well.

I used the postal service instead and I want to request for only just my passports and BRP card. Any one has any clue if BRP card would be returned if request is made via HO website?

I used NCS and I wanted to send my BRP but they said it was not necessary and made a copy of it (both sides) and I kept my BRP.

There is no reason to send BRP if you are using NCS. People use NCS to keep their original documents with them for emergency travel etc.
