application process

Post by interior » Thu Feb 14, 2008 8:21 am

I have called HO yesterday and they informed me that at the moment they are working on the cases those payment/application cleared/received by 15th of January, who ever has send his application after that would not be in process.

Payment placed 11th feb
Payment taken 13th Feb

I received the reference number today. The number is 220****/03

Anybody have received the number with '/03' at the end. What is this mean? anyone any idea?

I have received the same one but the way I understood because I have applied previously which was denied + appeal was denied as well. This time is actully a 3rd time so that the reason why I have got /03 at the end of my reference, in your case is it the first time or 2nd?

Hi Interier,

My case is also same first time rejected then applied for review again rejected now its actually third time. But i don't think so '03' meant by for that....anyway that’s an excellent guess.

wait and see...how it goes.

Hi Enable,

It is because I have got the same reference same as the previous one so only addition was /03.

The other thing I want to ask, Does any one have an idea that Student visa switching will only be possible after 29th of Feb 2008 from your home country if you are UK resident? Is it true? thats what my consultant told me today that HO are planning to change it.

hello mates,
One of friends shall be applying for hsmp soon, just wondering how do they calculate the exchange rate, his salary slip shows 22 january 2008.
Does he need to send the print out for the exchange rate for that day or Home office will do that ?

Who ever has applied for HSMP before the 29th of Feb '08 and if they get approval before the 29th of february 2008 or after. In order to get their EC which rule do they come under? Is it previous one or new one and what about the fee?

was been told by a solicitor n East London that, as long as you apply for your EC on or before 29th Feb you would be paying 450£ if you apply any date later to that you have to pay 750£... and it doesnt matter when you will be recvng your approval from the HO...

Actually, it pays to know has your application been allocated to a case worker or not, I faxed an urgent application form to them many times and they said they had no record of this requirement. Finally, I post the form to them. NOTE: before allocated to a case worker, urgent requirement does not work anyway.

I sent docs on 28th, Jan, fees deducted 29th, Jan, ref No. got by email on 1st, Jan. And then I faxed urgent treatment form on 1st FEB, 5TH FEB, 8TH FEB, and finally post to them on 10th FEB. It looks like HO lose faxes very often, so DO check with them! I finally got the news that my case was allocated to a caseworker, and was suggested to call them on 25th or 26th, that is, Monday or Tuesday. Funny, almost 1 month so far, I am wondering how long it will take without urgent treatment  BTW, my reference No. is 2479**
