I sisncerely suspect that they have shutdown for christmas.

Curiouser and curiouser. Now it seems I now see May 25 as the date being processed.... it was June 07 earlier this morning.

I am also seeing the update date as 24 November 2004 and processing HSMP applications of 25th May. There is surely some problem on their website.

Talk about bad systems

Post by zombie1979 » Fri Jan 07, 2005 7:15 am

I do wish they would get their system in order.I have sent in my additional documents( in november) and I have called the hsmp team umpteen times but to no avail(I get a busy tone every time!!!).I have mailed them thrice asking to confirm whether they have got the mail but no replies.
How difficult would it be for them to implement an online system where people can check their status?
The whole system is totally user unfriendly and makes you wonder whether they actually want people to apply :)

Hmmm... now it's back to June 07. Is this a comedy of errors, or am I missing something here?

guyz,

The 10th Jan Update shows no progress on HSMP or FLR since 20th December...

 I am sorry but either there is an error or they are taking the pi*s

However, if you think about it seriously, they have effectively had 10 working days since last update - and most of the staff would be on holiday.

So HSMP waiting times officially OVER 7 Months. FLR-IED (3.5 Months)

Fees going up in April 2005. Are we getting value for money

I agree the processing times are absolutely ridiculous... I applied in June at which time it would allegedly take 3 months. Since then the HO has had all my original documentation (degree certificates, transcripts, professional certificates, salary slips, and so on and so on), and I have not heard a single thing from them. I try to phone... the number is ALWAYS engaged. I try to e-mail... I get an automated response days later pointing me to a website.

There is no way to get in touch with the people entrusted with your valuable documents. For all I know they may have sent them back to me and I have not received them. Now, in 20 days they have not processed a single HSMP application??? Come on!!! What is going on?

Are all Blunketts friends being processed ahead of us STILL?

Guys... I recently heard from jy caseworker. It appears that while indeed the HSMP offices were still open and working over the christmas period, many of the employees were in fact on vacation. I suspect that just like most companies, the HSMP offices only kept a backbone staff detail. probably on rotation over the xmas period. Let us be patient guys, we have waited thus far, surely we can wait a bit longer.

Sure, but to not process a SINGLE day in 20 days? I could understand if they only processed a couple of days, but that is crazy...

I agree, they have all our valueble documents with them now for ages. In the mean time all the people who have applied have been waiting around not able to do anyting, plan anything in terms of their career and sometimes even having to turn down career opportunities because you don't know when your application might come through.

It has been such a frustrating time for my wife and I in that we have put everyting (life, friends, careers) on hold just waiting for this magnificent opportunity that the HSMP holds.

Here is hoping that the next few days will see a drastic increase in production levels at the HO. They must realy consider what they are doing to all of us by not improving on their service levels as soon as they became aware of the flood of applications early last year. :x

Here's hoping.

There are lot of IT people applying. I think they can even pick few from them (and also give them job offer letters to speed up their application  )
