Letter received on 15/01/2021 requesting to submit a document within 28 days from the date of the letter.

Request:

"Please write to D/Supt, GNIB, 13/14 Burgh Quay, Dublin 2, requesting a letter of your reckonable residency. When you receive a response to your request, please submit a copy of the letter to this office."

They have asked because my GNIB was due to expire in 3 months after application, so they need to know if I have renewed it or not. Doesn't make any sense as a simple copy of my current GNIB ad passport would suffice.

Jan/2021 and we are dealing with back and forth letters between offices that were supposed to be at least connected somehow for info exchanges. This is unbelievable - The number of people involved in such a simple task.

TIP: If anyone else gets the same request, don't forget to enclose a copy of a photo ID (Passport, GNIB, etc) plus a copy of the letter from the citizenship dept.

Second Letter: 18/12/2020 received by normal post. This seems to be the second letter although does not explicitly says that has been move to second stage. But accordingly to this tread it seems that the letter not always says it.
