Anybody knows, what does it mean? it looks like same normal reply. and My Application is still not with the Minister it looks like. How do they determine that the Applicant is good character or not?

It doesn't mean anything. We are waiting since January 2018 and we stopped following up with them months ago because we kept getting the same generic responses. We are just hoping that they somehow find our application and look into it!

I wonder if everyone is still getting the funny and stupid ''continues to be processed'' emails or has anyone got any indication that their application is on advanced stage or waiting to be submitted to the Minister etc? Anything different?

I have been receiving the same Copy Paste Emails from Them Applying since February 2018 through my solicitor, so I had no choice I already bring my case to high court today , now waiting for the courts date

This is just ridiculous the way DOJ / INIS are working and treating us. If they are only waiting for people to go to high court to get a decision on their application, this already shows you how inefficiently this dept is being run and how discriminating these people have got. Copying and pasting emails all the time and making no real progress on your applications. What a joke!

I have learned something , everything you try to take from the government you will never get it unless you push them and force them to give it to you , otherwise if you leave your hopes with them you will never get it trust anyone that have been waiting a long time for a decision with out any reason sent them to high court you will get your rights from the night court

I guess you are right. What else can we do if INIS only want to do it the difficult way, other than dragging them to the court. This is just so ridiculous and shameful for INIS to do such things and delay applications on purpose while the declared time is only 6 months and applicants are waiting from 2017 or even before. 2 to 3 long years of your life. Non-sense.

exactly. another month of July is going to be over and still no news regarding the virtual ceremony. very inefficient to be honest.

Hi guys,

Just wanted to ask a question. What are the timings of issue of approval letters, are they always issued before a ceremony meaning thereby ceremony date is announced first and then the letters are issued OR open letters are issued that your application for naturalization is approved and you will be included in next ceremony (something like that). Thanks

We don’t know what the new minister will do, but based on previous experiences, applications will enter an ‘advanced’ stage 3-4 months before the next scheduled ceremony.

They go through a final check by the staff, and then they are sent to the minister for sign off.

People get the approval letter around 2 months before the ceremony. Pay the fee. Send over the photos, and receive the invitation around 3-4 weeks before the ceremony.

Things might be a bit different now that we have a new minister and they are organising a large scale virtual ceremony.

My application has been on ‘advanced stage’ for several months now and I received a letter that was sent on the 15th of July stating that it continues to be processed the normal way.

when you say "advanced stage" what stage is that? 2nd where you received a letter saying they are verifying good character? or have you gotten a letter requesting the citizenship fee? and when did you get the first notification of the current advanced stage you are in now?

Your statement above "... they are organising a large scale virtual ceremony" sounds very definite (and very positive!). Have you heard more about these ceremonies than has been reported in the media? If so, could you elaborate for us?
