Guys good news from my side!!

Got my EC stamped from Jan 03 2008 through Jan 02 2010.

I requested for an post-dated EC from Feb in my covering letter but forgot to mention it to the VFS representative. FAQ section of UK-Visas mentions that the VFS Rep should be requested in case one wants a post-dated Visa. Just mentioning it on the cover letter wouldn't work.

Timelines:

SEP 28: Application Sent
OCT 01: Application reached HO
OCT 01: Fee Debited
OCT 03: Got the Reference Number
NOV 21: Decision
NOV 28: Documents collected by FedEx
NOV 30: Got the documents

DEC 19: Applied for EC
DEC 27: Integra mail
DEC 31: HR Replied to Integra mail
JAN 03: VISA STAMPING
JAN 04: Status updated on vfs website
JAN 07: Collected passport from VFS

clarification regardsing Previous earnings......plz help ...

Post by itsmesuraj » Wed Feb 20, 2008 6:27 am

Hi Trackitts,

My HSMP application was received on the 12th of Feb 2008 and the money was debited on 13th & the reference number was emailed to me on 16th of Feb 2008.
I have a clarification here...
Since im claiming points from Feb 2007 to Jan 2008, I was unable to produce the IT returns for the whole claim period. I have sent the Bank statements instead. Will this suffice or do i need to send a Letter from the current employer stating my salary for the claim period?...
Am a little tensed about this...however ...the HSMP FAQ's mention clearly...that

"50. If your income tax return does not cover the entire period claimed, then you should provide either or both of the following:
• Your bank statements covering the period claimed for;
• A letter from your employer on company headed paper, stating your salary. The letter should confirm that you have received the salary stated for the earnings period claimed."

Any inputs on this would be appreciated....will not sending a letter from the employer be an issue? please let me know.....

Hi

I suggest you do the following:
1. 12 or more original salary slips. Ensure salary slip has bank details and PAN number.
2. Orinignal bank statement showing salary being credited.
3. Total Earning statement from employer.
4. IT Return for the part period whihc gets covered.

Explain this in the covering letter.

Things should then flow smoothly.

HSMP Refusal - English Req.

Post by for_HSMP » Sat Feb 23, 2008 5:51 am

Hello There,

I have applied for a HSMP on 27th Dec 07and i have got my decision on 22nd Jan 08.

Though i got 80 points for Qualification, they did say that i dint meet enlgisdh requirement and application is refused.

I had an professional degree in AMIE and submitted letter from univeristy but they claim that the this degree was not taught in the same way as in academic study and hence they cannot evaluate this english requirement.

I am thinking to reapply. with same set of docs as i read the people got it approved if they submit again for some cases. or i am thinking to apply with my undergraduate course medium of instruction cert attached.

WOuld the experience people suggest me ? or to take IELTS exam.
I am wondering how the new system is going to affect us.

Dear all,

My application has been approved !! :D

Here are my timelines:

Application was on Pro-rata basis. 9 months of UK Salary and 3 months of Indian Salary.
Applied on: 28th Jan 2008 (In country application)
Received on: 29th Jan 2008.
Amount Debited on: 29th Jan 2008
Reference Number on: 6th Feb 2008 (248***)
Approved on 4th March
Received documents back on: 6th Feb 2008

Feel free to let me know if you need any help.

With no offences meant to anyone, I spoke with a few consultants before my application and they were ready to loot me for 1500 Pounds.
I read the Guidance form atleast 20 times and went through the Official Case worker's manual. I did my application on my own, though MANY consultants told me that mine would be doubtful since it is on Pro rata.
All that is required to apply is simple common sense and patience to go through the document carefully! :D

Would be more than ready to help anyone who needs it! :D

Cheers!

Received HSMP approval letter - now I need to apply for EC

Post by griff1044 » Tue Mar 18, 2008 9:56 pm

Hi,

I applied for HSMP on Feb 8, 2008 and just got my approval letter today. I am completely confused by the introduction of the new Tier 1 system, as I still need to apply for entry clearance but understand that this now has to be done from my home country (Canada). The British Embassy in Canada requires visa applications to be done online, however I can't find any form relevant to my situation, being that I am already half way through the application process. Is anyone else in the same circumstance? Home Office has told me to contact the British Embassy in Canada, but I can't speak to anyone without making a $3.50/min phone call, which I am prepared to do but I just thought I'd see if anyone can share their experiences.

Cheers,

Griff

Hi,

I am curious to know about all the necessary steps required for a successful Entry Clearance. As my EC has already been rejected once, please go through my following post and guide me.

Very eagerly waiting for expert guidance.

Thanks in anticipation,

cskmail wrote:Hi,

I had obtained HSMP approval but my EC got rejected.

Reason provided to me by ECO is

I do not hold GBP 2800 for three months.

I have deposited some GBP 4600 in my bank account and taken bank statement after two days. I was not aware that I require to show a minimum balance of GBP 2800 for minimum three months.

Does anybody know this rule is mentioned anywhere in any UK Home Office document or website. If you know this, please let me know.

I have sent an email for an Administrative Review. It had already been eight days, but there is no response.

In addition to this, my original HSMP Approval letter and original bank statements are not returned. I had applied through VFS New Delhi.

I had inquired about the missing documents, I had sent an email to visqry.newdelhi@fco.gov.uk, vfsuk.north@vfs-uk-in.com, postmaster.nedel@fco.gov.uk, ten days ago, but there is no reply. These people are very clumsy and slow.

Can any one, please guide me about my next steps. I feel cheated.

Thanks
Charukant

Hi,

It looks like you applied on 3rd April and assuming that it was in India that would mean Tier 1. (Under Tier 1 in India you have to have £2800 for the previous 3 months in your account i.e. the balance should not go below £2800 for the duration of 3 months).

Otherwise under normal HSMP rules there is no set amount.

Best way may be to find out if other India applicants have been able to successfully apply under Tier 1 without fully satisfying the £2800/3 months rule.

Cheers.

Dear all,

I did my B-tech(pass) from 1988 to 1990 and then i completed my B-tech(hons) from 2007 to 2009. as it can be seen that i completed my degree in two periods........

In initial application form there is a Qualification assessment section is given where duration of study column is provided and it has a space for one entry" from"-"to". while in my case there are two different periods in which i have done my degree i.e from1988 to 1990 and from 2007 to 2009. please help me how these dates can be written in space provided and also will they accept my degree. reply awaited from all members.

To eliminate duplication of topics and for people to access separate feedback regarding turn-around times for in-country and out-country applications, new threads have been created.

If applying from outside UK, please post timelines here.
If applying to switch (change) from another immigration category to Tier 1 (General) from within the UK, please post timelines here.

regards
