V4Vendetta, in another topic you posted "Posted my application on the 12/05". Had you posted your application prior to 03.04.06 then you might have also been successful, but as you posted yours clearly after 03.04.06 you were bound to get rejected.

Hi,

Congratulations!

can you tell us you are on WP or HSMP, and when your visa will expire, I mean, the one before your PR.

andhraguy, many congratulations! Glad it all worked out.

Naturalisation to apply for in a year's time? You intend to start studying for the Citizenship Test?

Yes, sorry for the confusion. I would have completed 28 days prior to, on June the 12th. Although I had my workpermit approved in the second week of may 2002. I got my incountry leave to remain stamped only in July 2002. And I currently have a HSMP valid upto April 2008, and Hence thereby cannot appeal the ILR refusal decision. So unfortunately, I would have to reapply in June 2007. And although Im sure they have the refusal records in their system, nothing has been stamped on the passport regarding the refusal. Cheers.

I had applied before April 03rd by post with cheque payment but yet got the ILR rejection last week. Although, I had given it a long shot, since I would have completed the 4 years today infact, on June the 12th.
As you say, that was a bit of a long shot. There was never any guarantee that applying for ILR prior to 03.04.06 was going to work, and regretfully it did not work for you. A 12th June date for 4 years was always going to be problematic, whereas a number of people completing their 4 years in April or even May have succeeded where the application went in prior to 03.04.06.

Again, sorry it did not work out for you. But surely you are eligible to apply for your ILR in the latter half of May 2007 .... not 2008?

I received my and my wife's passport today from the HO with the extension of my HSMP visa for next 3 years.

However, the passport of our daughter was not there. She's over 18 so I had to submit a separate application for her as a dependent.

I called HO and they told me that her application is still under consideration and we can expect the decision within next 14 weeks.

It is so annoying. My wife feels very nervous about it. What if they refused the extension? Is there a possibility to appeal? My daughter entered the UK as a dependent few years ago and has a place in the University at the moment. So I guess she qualifies for the extension, but still...

Hi,

Waiting for some more people to say the good news that they have received the ILR stamping.

Is it that i am the last one to receive until now(atleast in this group) .. Or is there any one else waiting for their passports to come back??

HO site still says that they are processing applications for April 06.

Thanks,
Andhra Guy
