I was not home when the mail arrived.. ...But those who have been at home and received the letter said to me that there is no letter in the envelope, and it is only my passport is in the envelope. I have requsted all my documents including my diploma. But nothing has come only my passport . I am really shocked that they fail to send a letter or send all my documents in the same envelope. I'm so pissed off

Yeah it's completely fine asking for your passport back. They didn't say that I couldn't or that it would affect my application or anything. Getting them back is another thing though. I am now on my way down to London to visit the Australian embassy. The home office finally reported to us that they had officially lost our passports. Of course they left it way too late for us to be able to do anything. We were supposed to fly to Australia yesterday.I think everyone should take note of that. The home office are ridiculous and they don't take care of our things so be prepared for anything you send to just disappear. But anyway I'm trying to stop being incredibly angry at them, though that might change if the Australian embassy refuse to issue me a passport because I now have no proof that I am australian.

But anyway yes Danny, you should be fine. But just make sure you keep at them if the passports don't arrive in 10 days. They said they had posted our the day after I applied for them so had they not lost them they would have been with me in 3-4 working days.

I still haven't requested for our passports etc. as we are hoping to receive the COA first.
We enrolled our biometrics on 8 August and were told to email to enquire about it since its way past 21 days.

yes, i remember the letter you posted, I expected a letter or whatever response. And I was pissed when I heard that they did not send any letter. Well I've waited a long time now and I can wait more too. But when you have other expectations then you become disappointed
