Zaheer...mine also same case....i applied on 8th May & my credit card was charged on 9th May but i'm yet to recieve my reference letter...but i got my reference no by calling HO...the way HO works i won;t be surprised if my passport documents reaches before my refernce letter

Hi All - I have got another good news to share. My wife also applied for tier 1 a day after mine. She only got her paper work back last Saturday. Timeline as follows:

Till 14th May she was told it is not assigned. Then 19th she was told under consideration. On 23rd, after digging as her existing visa expired on 30th May, she was told we have sent it today and you should get it soon.

I dont know if we can really trust them. My application was sent on the 29th April and they got it at HO on the 30th April.

Still not with Caseworker!!!!!!

can somebody throw some light on this issue. The approvals we are recieving, are there any who are extending from HSMP to Tier 1?

Extension meaning anyone already in the UK on HSMP visa and applying for further leave to remain and not someone who's switching to Tier 1 with a valid HSMP approval letter or someone switching from WP/student to Tier 1.

Congrats to you both.BTW i hope you have used special delivery prepaid..Did you use the reference number to track your mail even b4 you received.Pls lemme know .

Hi Shivaa - yes we had the special delivery ref number. We checked almost everyday after 6 weeks of application for my wife. The day they said they have posted, later that evening it started appearing on the royal mail site. We kept waiting on Saturday and the postman finally delivered at 1:30.

I just went on HO website.

They update the processing dates every Monday. So check their website every Monday to see which dates they are up to next.

Just to quote the HO ''Business and Commercial: we expect to consider applications received at our payment processing centre

Straight forward applications (including Tier 1's) between 9 May 2008 and 13 May 2008. All other applications between 30 April 2008 and 6 May 2008.

ALL BASED ON MONDAY 28, 2008.

on the 19th of may recieved letter i should resend my dependants forms and latest statement of month ending april...
am still waiting till date......
