Hi Siama,

Your hubby should get his passport back back in the next 3-4 weeks. Just hang in there :)

My wife received notice of pending yesterday

Appeal was lodged at ait on 17/01/2011.
Date on notice of pending was 2/02/2011.

The letter said u should hear by 20/06/2011 :(
how long on average do appeals get overturned after applicant recieve notice of pending?
Hi Ishty,

Once the date for submission of appeal documents by both the apellent, which would be you, and the respondent, which is the ECO, has paased and the ECO doesn't reverse his/her decision, you will get an intimation about the date for the appeal hearing.

Mesam.

It is the standard timeline that these guys have. The 3-4 weeks is the max time, given that he submitted his passport at the start of the year.

I am sure that the VAC guy told your hubby about the processing timeline as they did the same when I submitted my passport for getting the visa stamped. In my case, the VAC rep said it would take abot 8 weeks and the processed it in about 5-6 weeks.

It takes this long because there is normally a backlog of cases in the queue that would be processed before your turn comes so hang in there.

Mesam.

AOA786

I want to clear something to all you people regarding two types of calling letter like one said DECISION OVERTURN and 2nd said DECISION REVIEWED so listen guys i had this experience recently first in back DEC 2010 i received the calling letter with my decision is overturn and visa issued ok and i did not submit my passport becouse i need to renew my passport so now i i got my passport and i email to UKHUB and inform them that i renewed my passport so what shell i do and they send me new calling letter with latest date to submit my passport with that new calling letter and in that calling letter it says DECISION WILL REVIEWED so that means they just change there formate thats it the timing for all calling letters are same people ok i hope it helps.

Jazak Allah khair.

Ok the diffrence is that when it says decison overturned, it litterally means they have changed their mind and WILL NOW ISSUE VISA.

Decision Reviewed means that the hierachy at UKBA accept that the wrong decision MAY HAVE BEEN MADE on the initial application and is sent back to the ECO at the post where it was refused to look at it and consider whether the right decion was made in refusing it. This means the visa maybe granted but unlike the above, there is a slight chance it may not if they find another reason to refuse it on, but in most cases it is usually granted.

Hope this has cleared the matter up

Salaams! Appeal and review Dicisions

Post by sabir2011 » Tue Feb 15, 2011 2:41 pm

Salaams! how long does it normally take on average till someone hears from the ECO once the appeal bundle is lodged to the AIT. Will one be notified of the ECO review decisions or then we have to wait till we get the hearing date from the tribunal. Allah (SWT) blesses all with Khair, Sabir is the Key to Success. All the best to all.

Bro on the appeal form there is a section where you have to put all ur personal details in, and in one area it says email address. That's where I wrote my email address, because it is a quick way of recieving the call letter and more convinent. Did you write ur email address on there? :)

W/ Salaam it usually takes the AIT a month to send a confirmation letter, after that they send the appeal documents to croydon to review which can take between 2 and 8 weeks. If it goes to courst then it could take up to 6 months. Hope ur decision gets overturned and u recieve your visa soon inshAllah :)

but got notice of pending dated 2nd feb 2 weeks after submission.

Do u get call letter if they overturn decision or a notice of withdrawal first?

Salam Everyone,

I wanted to have an advice. Is there anyway I could provide my email address for correspondence during appeal case. Unfortunately, I did not mention it on IAFT 2 form because there was no section given to write an email address and I gave my home address. Now I am thinking that this might delay the process by receiving call letter via post. Although I gave my husband's email address in sponsor's detail section. Any suggestions will be truly appreciated! Thank you
