I have to correct this issue. You can not required new COA WITH RIGHT TO WORK (LONG COA) when you failure to submit the required documents. You can required new COA WITH RIGHT TO WORK when casework have make a mistake. Home Office stated very clear in their work instructions. If you really need COA WITH RIGHT TO WORK you need to reapply and make sure you submit required document which you can check with guidance of form you use to make sure that you do all requirement.
Hi ten513

Yes, this is what I though and what we advised lalivallejo to do when she failed to submit original documents.

She was almost convinced to withdraw her application, but by sending the email she somehow managed to get her new CoA. See her post here: http://www.immigrationboards.com/eea-ro ... l#p1259272

A little update of my case.
Last week we decided to write an email to nweurocoarequests@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk to request a new COA based on the grounds that we are legally married and have all the documents to support it. I attached scanned copies of all the documents. We wrote the email last monday (october 12th).

TODAY I RECEIVED A NEW COA WITH RIGHT TO WORK!!! yeeeeei! :D

UPDATED TIMELINE:

EEA2 FM
App sent on 24/08/2015
Fee taken 26/08/2015
COA 02/09/2015
Bio letter 02/09/2015
Bio submitted 07/09/2015
REQUEST A NEW COA 12/10/2015
NEW COA 17/10/2015
NEW COA RECEIVED 21/10/2015

The guidance above tell you what document can use and how many they required. Therefore check and make sure before you send application for reapply.

It seem like this week our friends received RC and even received phone call on Saturday. Hopefully Home Office's caseworkers are trying to clear backlog and everyone will received RC quicker.

Hi ten

I think no one really knows what's best to do and what's not. I am also worried that I might be giving bad advice. So I agree, it is good to see that we have a pool of different people giving input :). I quote Lali's case, as I think it was not a mistake from the case worker, but hers, and it all indicated that she had to withdraw her application and reapply. But she managed to make it work by email. Then again you never know when you can.

Good luck to everyone!

Hello JUNE BATCH,
Please share/update your timeline as soon as you receive RC or your documents. It really makes a big difference. Please don't go quiet on us.
These upcoming 15,20 days are looking like a huge mountain. I don't know how I managed to wait last 5 months. Lol

Good luck to everyone who is waiting....

Hiya, quick update: received my COA today!

Following up on LaliVallejo's question, can somebody help with advice on travelling abroad? Is it possible to travel and re-entry the U.K. with COA once you request your passport back? If so, how many times and on what grounds (do you need to justify to HO, for example)?

Updated timeline:
22/09 App sent (postal order payment)
23/09 Received
03/10 Bio letter (incorrect name)
20/10 Bio letter correct, Enrolled same day
29/10 COA-RIGHT TO WORK dated 27/10

Is there an official policy on when it's acceptable to inquire about a COA? I saw on one post that there seems to be a 15 day expected turn-around time after biometrics have been registered, but not sure if that means that beyond 15 days is considered to be excessively long.

It has been 18 working days since I registered my biometrics and I'm getting worried because I need to travel abroad twice next month for work, and I only have about 7 weeks left on my EEA Family Permit.

Not panicking yet, but given how long inquiries take I'd rather start them sooner than later if they are within the legitimate time-frame.

Thanks!

Hey ten513, thank you so much for your input. And yes I agree there is nothing to lose, I have been missing out without right to work for three months now, and got used to it already to be honest. I understand it was our mistake to avoid payslips, but employer declaration is in there, with all correct info. Our officer at Solveit office said she doesn't think it is a big issue to have only employer declaration in this case. But I am not sure, and don't want to wait another two-three months for refusal, if i can withdraw now. Do you think lack of payslips can negatively affect our application?

I will make sure to send them meantime and write an email.

Hi embassy international,

It said 21 days you will received COA after enrolled Bio. I think you should make inquiry your COA now.

About traveling. As far as I know, you can traveling with no problem at all as long as your Family Permit is not expire yet, COA will use to cover when after Family Permit is expired.

Hope it help.

Hi analucidi,

Section 12: Sponsor is currently working

Proof of your sponsor’s employment
 Ask your sponsor’s employer to complete the declaration in section 12B, or
 Enclose a letter from your sponsor’s employer confirming the details in section 12A. This must
be signed and dated by the employer, include the employer’s contact details, and be on the letter-headed paper of the employer.

Proof of your sponsor’s income or salary
 Wage slips covering the last 3 months or the relevant period (see above), and/or
 Your sponsor’s bank statements showing receipt of wages for the last 3 months or relevant
period.

The above is from guidance. The question is if you not send payslip but are you send bank statements to show that receipt of wages or salary. It seem Home office need two proofs. If by rules said you have to reapply but if caseworker who handle your case is very understandable you may receive a new COA same as case of Lali.

Hope it help.

Good morning! We were actually that close to withdraw our/his application yesterday and reapply. But I called Home Office today and a very nice gentlemen told me to leave the process as it is, because apparently Home Office will inquire about any additional info if it is missing. He said there is a rare opportunity that application would fail, because they are trying their best to minimise amount of failing applications. (suprisingly!) So now the plan is to send payslips as Kamoe recommended and see if they can change COA. Need to act fast
