Just find news on the web that saying about ILR to have safe return to countries review

To be honest it is like snow on my head!! HO changes the rules again and putting a new law on Tuesday 14.03.17 - all new applications will go under new scheme.

What you think guys? Have you heard anything? I wanna cry! They implemented new changes in quite!
We all know how "good" HO is and how "quick" they do their jobs, but it will influence on new application and give uncertainty how long new application will take and at the end HO cane give untruthful and unreasonable decisions just to refuse ILRs.
well,If their reason for asylum no longer stands and it is now safe for them to return, we will seek to return them to their home country rather than offer settlement here in Britain.
Commenting on the policy update, a Home Office spokesman said: “There has been no change in our policy. Since 2010, we have granted settlement to more than 100,000 refugees. However, we have never operated a policy of automatic settlement.

“We consider every application for settlement on its individual merits and we’re clear that protection will be granted for as long as it is needed. The UK has a long and proud history of granting protection to those who need it and that is not going to change.”

Maybe anyone knows how HO checks the criteria if a person applied for a passport from his country of origin?

Hi Balli223,

the changes were in place since the end of 2015 unofficially, and now officially is in place and will apply to everyone who is waiting for the ILR.

In my opinion these changes are there since 2010 as u can read below passage
A Home Office spokesperson said: “There has been no change in our policy.

The Home Office said that safe return reviews were introduced in February 2016 and guidance to staff was published 12 months ago on the department’s website. But the Home Office could not point to when their introduction had been announced to parliament or approved by MPs.
so I don't think anyone need to worry regardless their ILR.if reason/s still valid no need to worry , & we will all get ilr INSHALLA.

Immigration Rules - Updated 7 April 2017,

339A. This paragraph applies when the Secretary of State is satisfied that one or more of the following applies:
(i) they have voluntarily re-availed themselves of the protection of the country of nationality;
(ii) having lost their nationality, they have voluntarily re-acquired it;
(iii) they have acquired a new nationality, and enjoy the protection of the country of their new nationality;
(iv) they have voluntarily re-established themselves in the country which they left or outside which they remained owing to a fear of persecution;
(v) they can no longer, because the circumstances in connection with which they have been recognised as a refugee have ceased to exist, continue to refuse to avail themselves of the protection of the country of nationality; or
(vi) being a stateless person with no nationality, they are able, because the circumstances in connection with which they have been recognised as a refugee have ceased to exist, to return to the country of former habitual residence

In considering (v) and (vi), the Secretary of State shall have regard to whether the change of circumstances is of such a significant and non-temporary nature that the refugee’s fear of persecution can no longer be regarded as well-founded.
