If you get a rejection on a visa would they notify us by letter or would we only know when we open the passport at the Gerrys office

I have to say that is really bad that they will not tell you over the phone or via the RFC message if you application has been accepted or rejected.

They make you wait all this time and you still dont find out anything until you collect the passport.

Not knowing is the worst - to be fair makes you stuck.

I cant change occupation, move house or anything as this may well have affected it.
Chalo Inshallah lets hope the long wait is over tomorrow

thank everyone

Processing times for Sept

Post by Jimmy2012 » Wed Oct 17, 2012 5:14 pm

Hi,

The latest processing times (for Sept) have been posted on the UKBA website and in Karachi only 27% of applications were processed in 6 months. In Islamabad it was 37%.

Looks like waiting times have increased since Aug figures.

Hey guys, just wanted to let you know that UKBA has updated the processing times for Sept. Was quite slow in Sept, for ex only 27% Karachi applications processed within 120 days...

Aslam

I am confused because figures changed end of September, I thought the figures were for September except they still put down August 2012 below figures.

Do I make sense?

sept processing times....

Post by aisha21 » Wed Oct 17, 2012 5:58 pm

Hi everyone,

I have also just looked at the new stats for sept processing times....

I may be being stupid here, but can someone help clarify.... for Mirpur it shows:

total decision made: 327
120 days - 34%
10, 15, 40, 60 and 90 days 1% each (5% total)

So what happened to the other circa 61%???

Because the way I read it is that if 327 cases were processed in Sept, they should show how many of those were processed in how much time and therefore the total should come to 100%?? or at least 120 days should read 100% becasue thats the max time.... why only 34% at 120 days?

I may be missing something here or reading too much into this....

The rest were processed just outside the 120 working days. 61% took more than 120 working days to processed and they missed the target.

What I think it means is that only 34% of applications were processed within 120 days and the rest 66% are still pending...

One of 2 things happened

The august times were wrong or the September ones but guys if i were you, i would not bother about processing times.

You have seen that lots of June applicants are receiving RFC's so it mean that they are deciding with in between 90 to 120 days.
