Hi shivaa,

So you turned out to be lucky to know your status. BTW the list does not include your application submission date. What is it?

Help

Post by Technonerve » Sat May 31, 2008 4:29 pm

Guys i need ur help and advise,
I applied as u can see on the 28th of april, called on the 28th of may got the answer of queueing to be assigned, called on the 29th of may, a letter was sent as to fill page 34-35 called on the 29th to see what do i need to fill, they said maintenace section and public funds page 34-35, faxed theses two papers on the 30th filling the public funds only as i am not allowed to fill the maintenace section Z page 34 as i don't have a HSMP and i am a first timer applicant from WP to Tier 1 and i did fill the maintenance section M page 22.
I got the letter today from HO saying "u have failed to complete"d" the Maintenance section and the Public Funds section of the application form (page 34-35).We are unable to consider the application without this information.Could u please send the completed pages for my attention by 9 june 2008 either by fax or by post" What does that mean? Do i need to fill the maintenace section on page 34?! i did fill the maitenance on page 22 and it clearly says "Go to section AA" which is the public funds section which i might understand that i didn't fill it possibly. I do have the name of the person who sent me the letter but the number is still the same and i am concerned i might call and they won't put me through this person to clarify what they need, and also if i will fill the section maintenance on page 34 i am concerned that after a day they will tell me u shouldn't fill it and the confusion will start again. Is my application proceeded and they only need this tick box? or is it a first assessment and they've put everything on hold? loads of queries! Any advice or opinion or previous experience?!
thanks a lot

It would help if you can provide the exact content of the letter that's been sent to you (only the relevant part) ... rather than your own explanation to the confusion.

Make a cover note saying you do not need to complete the maintenance funds under section Z as you are making an initial application to Tier 1, and that the maintenance funds section relevant to your case is under section M which you have filled as required (assuming that you have done so). Apologize for not filling up section AA (public funds) in the first instance and that you are attaching the relevant pages.

I hope you haven't missed out anything else on the form and you are sure about that. If not, I would suggest you send the entire form (minus the payment pages) again requesting the person to pick out the relevant pages if anything else is found to be missing.

Thanks for the advise,
I did a cover letter which i am going to fax tomorrow FAO of the person who sent me the letter (hopefully the caseworker: i assume), and i did apologise for the AA section, and i did explain y i didn't fill Section Z under 3c and i clearly said that i filled Section M (which i am also faxing), and i carried on saying however and according to ur request i did also filled Section Z which i am attaching. I will call on Monday and try to speak directly to that person, but the number is the same for everybody, hoping that they r going to pass this person to me.
Will keep everyone updated, and everyone who is grinding his/her teeth from the stress of waiting :D

Yes they can.

Use the search tool to look for information on dependent visa applications. This topic has been discussed in detail and lots of info. is already available on the forum .. look for it!

Notty, you need to (must) read through the guidance notes ... very carefully ... answers to both of your questions are given in there and clearly explained. Don't browse through the website in haste and come up with naive questions.

And use the search tool to look for info. already available on the forum wrt to documentary evidence of previous earnings.

So first things first, read the Tier 1 policy guidance .... carefully.

how many earning docs required as an evidence.

It is essential that earnings are corroborated by more than one source, so you must send at least two of the following as proof of your earnings:

* payslips;
* personal bank statements;
* letter from your employer;
* official tax document;
* dividend vouchers;
* letter from your managing agent or accountant;
* invoice explanations or payment summaries;
* company or business accounts.

according to this statement which is copied from home office website, if i have PAYSLIPS and OFFICIAL TAX DOCUMENT then its enough to fulfills the requirement.

am i right or not?

if not then what else i have to submit,
but i think its enough because they need two types of evidence must be from separate sources, and payslip and tax document are from different sources.

Notty,
Here is a helpful answer:
1. You need two ' separate' sources of documenst for previous earnings. If tax document and pay slips are from the employer then they count as one source, if that is so then you need bank statements as well.
2. For English your degress will suffice. Read the latest on the website about relaxing the requirement if you cant get a letter from NARIC, which you have anyway.
Hope this is helpful

Sorry if I sound blunt, but people are able to confuse you becuase you aren't clear about the facts. So you fall for hear-say. Know the facts ... and other people will not be able to confuse you that easily.

The problem is not that people ask questions (this forum is for that purpose only) or that people don't like answering questions, but the issue here is about people asking questions without doing any groundwork on their own. And isn't that a reasonable expectation or not??

Anyhow :roll:! Read para 107 to para 110 point 4 (both inclusive) of the Tier 1 policy guidance to get the answer to your 1st question. Read para 184, 185 and 186 to get answer to your second question.

Use the search tool to look for any other answers on these topic(s). These have been answered many times before.

now i am bit scared to ask questions coz i didn't know that sometimes u dont like questions, anyway i have one another question hopefully u dnt mind.

my degree is equivalent to UK bachelor's degree according to NARIC and i have letter from my university that the degree is taught in English, even then i have to do an English Language Test or not???

Sorry doc, but I tend to disagree with you helpful advice.

1. Tax documents, from employer or tax authorities, can rarely be used as independent evidence of previous income. Read para 110 point 4 carefully (and to the end).

2. NARIC letter of comparability does not prove that your degree was taught to a competent standard of English equivalent to level C1 on the Council of Europe’s Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, Teaching, Assessment (CEFR). So a NARIC letter won't help and neither does a letter from University prove the above.

Can you provide the link to the "relaxation" regarding English Language Requirements that you mentioned??

Guys one question i dunno if it was asked before:
When applying to Tier 1 do we need to send the complete application (40 pages) I mean if we r for example first timer, shall we send section 3b and 3c blank or we don't send it at all? stupid question i know because i sent the application as it is and i only filled section 3a as it apply to my case. just figuring out if that is the cause of the confusion.
thanks
