My status has just changed to ready for collection and my husband just got the text message aswell. It is going to be such a long weekend for me as I won't be able to wait! and on Monday due to work I am away and won't be able to speak to my husband till late so everyone please pray for us!

My timeline is Application submit on 13/05/11 at Lahore vac

under process 27/05/11

Granted visa 22/7/11

Just a quick question - when you go to collect your passport, do they return all the documents which you submitted?

At this time my thoughts are with everyday and okara, but however laydeez, you must remain strong and keep faith as it is your strength that will be put to the test and faith will keep you both going!

Nazema, yes they return the documents which you submitted with the application. Congrats on ready status and inshallah may it be good news on Monday. Edit: Just realised, wow ur application ALSO took 8 weeks, hey congrats for a SPEEDY process niceeeeeeee!!!!!!

All of those who are still waiting from April and May list, no matter what happens, try ur best to maintain composure. I'll be honest with you all, whenever I was in waiting line and had people say they have received ready status, the paranoia and annoyance just kept on growing. Wish I had someone advising me at the time like I am advising you all lol . Just keep strong and remember, each application is different so your results will also come.

Well some news from me, the missus has had a txt, asking her to collect the pass port.

is it me or is the lahore vac taking its time cuz dere is 3 people that have submitted dere applications at lahore and have not heard anything,
i know my wife's application has been processed around the 14th july, but av not got any sms yet and my 12 weeks r up next thursday.

Yes and no, originally we applied on the 2/5/11, but were called back in a week later to redo the biometrics,and we were reissued with another application number, so realistically the 12 weeks should have started from the 10/5/11.

Who knows what the right 12 week date is! this is going to be the most nervy weekend of my life!!!!!

Edit just checked,on the website and the app ref no that we got the 2nd time round is the one that has been updated, not the 1st one.

7 Sep 2010: Application forwarded to BHC
22 Sep 2010: Visa application under process at BHC
8 Dec 2010: Passport ready and collected - refused entry.
4 Jan 2011: Application lodged at Loughborough Tribunal
28 Jan 2011: Confirmation of receipt of appeal received (Sponsor copy)
1 Mar 2011: Appeal received by ECO - 8th June deadline given to ECO
16 Jun 2011: Call letter received, decision overturned
23 Jun 2011: Passport submitted with new TB Cert, etc
23 Jun 2011: Application forwarded to Islamabad OC
26 Jun 2011: Forwarded to Embassy for processing
17 Jul 2011: Processed Application returned to AC
20 Jul 2011: Ready for collection
21 Jul 2011: Passport collected, visa granted!

Just over 10 months the entire process has taken, alhamdulillah not too bad

The visa was stamped on 12 July 2011 and has 12 Oct 2013 expiry date (so issued for 27 months).

All the details are correct on the visa itself so now inshallah travel arrangements will be made and i'll let you all know when she is blessing me and UK with her presence inshallah .

okara87, hang in there, it'll be all over soon enough. Think of it like this, aahh I waited 13 weeks now, 1 week more is nothing compared to 13 weeks. Maybe the delay is for the best . Maintain faith and hang in there.

Mention the following details when requesting to book an appointment with them on the earlier time available

I think that's the only way to make appointments "online", by email. Maybe not possible to do it via a website (i.e. filling in a form).
