I called my mp but she won't be in her office till next month so her assistant asked me to send an email with all details and she will contact them soon yarrrb

A lady who applied one day before me had a phone call from the embassy today.

Depends how you define 'straight forward' lol

At a guess sounds like sometimes they call, sometimes they don't. I would think they call if they need to clarify something.

I dunno so nervous and stressed out :( lol

Her situation is slightly different, she has lived in Egypt with her husband for 5 years so under the old rules she could apply that way.

Don't know what they asked her she only said a loads of questions, but I suppose it does sound promising for her.

Ok the questions they asked were, does she still live with him, why did she want to go to the uk, does she intend to work, has anything changed since she applied

My mp called me now she contacted the home office and the embassy they said to her they are looking at our case and she can't tell me when they will answer but she said if they don't reply to me by 2 weeks she said she will let somebody higher up calling them. Please guy pray for me and I hope everyone will get it soon Yarb. My heart is beaten so fast

her situation is different according to rules if you lived with your partner abroad the uk for 4 years you got ( "Settlement Spouse/ CP (KOL REQ) )

it means her husbad can therefore apply for ILR as soon as he pass the Life in the UK test.

Ok so I have an update.

Just checked worldbridge and status has changed to 'with courier attempting delivery'.

We've had no email saying its on the way or SMS so I'm expecting the worse tbh plus the fact my friend had a call and I didn't.
