I would like to share my line time for everyone:
Eligibility criteria: 9 years residence+ 1 year ILR
Language criteria met: LIUK+ B1
Method of application: by a solicitor
Council name if NCS used: NA
Date of application: 1st March 2014
Payment method: Direct Debit
Date of receipt by UKBA: 2nd March 2014
Date of acknowlegment: 10th March letter dated on 6th March
Date of debit or clearance of fees: 6th March
Date approval received:11th April( now i'm waitting for the invitation letter as it will come within 2 wks)
Date of ceremony:TBA ( will try to get the soonest private ceremony as i have some plan for holiday soon)
I hope everyone in this forum will get their approval

Other comments: I just want to wish everyone all the best in their journeys. I have now completed mine and relieved it is over - it is worth the wait if you know what I mean, as I have in this period learnt to be patient and hopeful.

I am delighted to see some March approvals and it brings some lights to my application.

I applied on 11 March 2014. I am not sure how HO allocate applications and hope they can be more transparent in the near future. Maybe provide tracking in application stage, just such a huge amount application fee we pay them.

And a very special thank you to the Admins of this forum, you guys are doing a much better job than the HO. I honestly think your guys are best suited to work for the HO, you would have made our life much easier.. I have used this forum for years now, since I divorced my ex EEA wife and applied to retain my right of residence until today when i finally got my citizenship approval letter..

The minimum i can do after thanking you again is share my timeline

Date of application: 1st March 2014

Notes to add:
I sent an email to the UKBA (FurtherNationalityEnquiries@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk) on the 4th of April inquiring about my application, first I received an Auto Reply with a standard email so I assumed I wont be getting an other reply. Got an email on the 15th of April saying that my application had been processed and a decision was posted to me on the 7th of April. I then called the HO and was told that it was actually printed on the 7th but only posted on the 14th (one week to post a bloody letter!!) So I finally received it today and called the council and booked the ceremony for the 23rd of this month.

Long journey is over, and I am relieved to never think that I need to be interrogated every time I fly back to the UK.. as I find that really irritating..

Many Congratulations to you n thx for updating us, I have I applied on 04-03-2014 and they received it on 05-03-2014 Same date as yours and acknowledgement letter dated 07/03/2014 but since then I haven't heard anything back from home office but e mailed to then quite few time then today I received email saying Dear Soebmk

Thats not the standard email I received.. mine only said to visit the website for further details.. your email seems to be specific to your application.. i'd give it until mid next week and then give them a call.. it s always busy... so u have to be persistent to get them on the phone..

Guys yesterday my mate gave me a 0300 number to check on the progress of my application. I wasnt gonna call but did anyway. I applied on the 13th of march and fees debited on the 20th. The guy that answered the phone at ukba asked for my ref number and told me to hold while he checked the system for my records.

He then came back to tell me its not even with a caseworker as yet because his system is not showing any progress since fees were debited and applications could take up to 6 months . Im surprised after takiing the fees so quickly its still sat there in a pile just waiting. I guess its late may for me then
