December 2017 Restricted COS

Hi Guys,

My employer stated that they applied for my RCOS sometime before 5th Dec., they claim that they are not sure of the status and they need to write to HO regarding the same.
I see here that some members from the December allocation have already got the RCOS's. The question I want to ask is as follows:

[*] Are RCOS allocated based on first come first server (on basis of the date of application)

Given that my job is on the shortage occupancy list, what are my chances of getting an RCOS provided that it will score at least 130 Points?

My earlier application was refused because I took the wrong IELTS, hence the employer has applied for a new RCOS

Any advice regarding the same will be helpful

From what I understand, the Home Office works according to the amount of points you've earned, thus higher points = quicker assessment of the RCOS application. For someone like me (22 points - new entrant, under 26), I will be one of the last people assessed. If the RCOS application is a simple one, then yes those people with the highest amount of points would hear soonest. The delay can be for a number of reasons, including if the Home Office needs further documentation.

Yes you are true, same may happen in next month or the further months

Guys just received the news from my lawyer, applications with salary less than 60000 GBP have been refused this month.

60K ??? Are you sure ??? if thats the case maximum will get rejection for this month...

Yes but its quite surprising. 60000 is way above, I dont know how companies would be able to plan there resources

it's surprising that so few got through this month, I do not think 60k salary is a thing.. it's way too high.

Never seen a month with these many refusals. For those that are reapplying - would HO prioritize by Shortage Occupation > Points scored under Experienced > New Entrants?

Just need help understanding if this month's situation would repeat for Jan, Feb and Mar 2018.

Hi everyone. My RCoS application was planned to be submitted for November, however due to a problem caused by my employer the job posting for RLMT had to be revised. So they had to submit the CoS application in December. I have the salary range 32000 and the RLMT was correct. Job is not in the shortage occupation list. My application is rejected and now my employer does not want to wait any more for me, since the need in the position is urgent. I cannot think of what would have happened if they did not make any mistake on the job posting and submit the application on November. Does anyone have any information/suggestion, or what should I do further?

I had 70 points and salary of 45000, my CoS was still refused for not meeting the minimum salary requirement for this month.guess it was an one of case where there was a spike in applications received

Was it for RLMT? Then it should be 20+24 points for 45k salary. How is it 70? Please let me know if my calculation is wrong.

I think Jagdeesh's case was of shortage occupation, if am correct, RLMT doesnt apply in that case and you get 130 points

It has been great trouble for everyone this month leading to loads of disappointment

also on the government's website, it says: "The November allocation meeting took place on 13 November. All valid applications received by 5 November were successful if they scored at least 21 points". So this means if you score at least 21 points you get a certificate. I don't understand therefore why this month it's been really bad??? How is it possible that application with over 30 points were rejected when in previous months 21 points were enough? Just weird.

Dont believe by the minimum points that HO post on their allocations page, they always mention it as 21.
They will doing same for December month also

Myself (34 points) & MSCHASE(36 points) have applied in November and we are pushed into December month and finally got refused

I applied my tier 2 visa today together with my spouse and child, on rCOS, submitted on 28 Nov, and approved on 13 Dec.

My job code on shortage, but written only applicable for few areas, mine not under the specific area then need RLMT, wrong RLMT placed on Sep then again a new RLMT created on Oct, long journey but great employer waiting for me. I am the first candidate they are sponsoring. For salary part, mine is above 60K.

Yes Sptula, my HR informed it might be between 50 to 55 (based on my hiring manager's approvals) so my points can be between 50 and 55
