Salam Allikum to everyone!!!
I have applied in Islamabad for EEA family permit for my wife.

Submission date 28 may 2009
ukvacpk.com still shows Application forwarded to Islamabad OC on

How long shall I wait for this message to change.
I ask this, because after 11 may 09, there are some delays in application processing timelins

Hope, you guys, who are in the situation as me, will share it on this forum thanks

Jonny! Mine was submitted on 25th so 3 days before you, I will let you guy know once I heard. Mine status is still same.

BUT HOW YOU KNOW THAT AFTER 11 MAY THERE ARE DELAYS?

One of my fiend submited on 24 April from Karachi and he had replied on 12th May.

So its seems its taking around 3 weeks but as you say there are delays so how you know there are delays.

I called vac in Islamabad last week and asked them about the application. He was furious, why I was worrying so much. He told me, it takes time and there is delay.
I hope he is wrong.
I read about the delays on www.ukvacpk.com :
11 May 2009: Important advice to customers about UK visa application process delays. Customers, please note that there are currently significant delays in the UK visa application process. You are advised to apply for your visa well in advance of the intended date of travel. The delays are due to the high volume of customers making appointments at the visa application centres (please refer to the update of 27 April regarding appointment bookings) and to technical difficulties affecting the UK's global visa operation, which UK Visa Services are working to resolve. At the moment please allow approximately 7 weeks from the time you make a request for an appointment to collecting your visa decision. UK Visa Services apologise to customers for the inconvenience,
and confirm they are working to reduce these delays.

Salaam jonny / kamran ... I am in the same position as you guys. my wife submitted docs just recently.

Submitted - 9th June
Status on Website - "forwarded to ISB OC on"

I' have no idea what the status means, or if its a good thing or not? Did u guys receive the same status when application was submitted? What does it mean ... I dont think there is as much delay you think as the other guys on this forum applied the same time and received their wives docs within 3 weeks.

Almas - I would give both the Abu Dhabi & the Lahore VAC a call and give them your application number and find out the status. From most of the other ppl who posted on this forum, after they called Abu Dhabi or Lahore, their status changed on the website after a couple of days ...

Call them today, I think the numbers are posted somewhere in this forum, cos I think 30 working days is a bit tooo much! Have you called them or e-mailed them at all?

Almas applied as dependent so his situation is different!

I dont think there is any point calling British embassy abu dhabhi as settlement visas are processed in Islamabad and not in Abu dhabi or Dubai.

I might be wrong, you go ahead and make a call and share outcomes.

All settlement visas are processed in Islamabad, the rest like student, visitor etc are processed in Abu Dhabi. I was informed by the Immigration Advisory Service about this.

Hi,
Today, I called British Embassy in Abu Dhabi about three to four times. They could not track my application form. They asked me to call VAC in Islamabad. I called Islamabad Vac. Vas said to me, people in Abu Dahbi provided u wrong information. Called abu dahbi again and again talked to most of staff over there. Finally, manager in visa section talked to me. She finally asked me, what sort of application is it? I said settlement. She said sorry for all this. We deal with all application except settlement. You guys r right Settlement visa are handled in Islamabad only.
I could save all the time and phone card. Should have listened to u guys.
keep in touch guys
