congrats hope you enjoy your freedom :)

@majojo

i cant help but think ukba are prioritising newer applications to make their overall statistics look better. For example if we have two applications, one takes 10 months to process, the other 2 months then the average between them is 6 months processing

this or theyve just split the applications into two piles, one is backlog and the other new applications and they have separate people working on them.

Hm I hope so but it's just too sad and unfair. But am beleiving this month will be a month of joy for many of us.

Thanks for the in put, what do you thing about the Fathers need Families charity. I called them ysterday and they sed that i need to register for £39 and that they will help me all the way through, better than Solicitors fees £60 for half an hour Or I do it my self and post it to court. What is the best option guys.

I don't know much about them, I just had a free consultation with my solicitor and she gave me the court forms. I did it all myself it's simple and straight forward. The court gave us a date to go to court and the agreements were put on paper and had the court stamped court order come via post the week after

Hi guys. I would like to share my timeline,
Application sent: 28/03/13
Acknowledgement letter dated: 02/04/13
Biometrics letter dated: 04/04/13
Biometrics taken: 09/04/13
Letter requesting more info and docs: 25/04/13
Documents sent: 07/05/13
Decision: Waiting

My solicitor had advised that I should expect to hear from the HO in at least 6months, so this has been pretty fast.

Congratulations to all that have had a positive answer, and for us that are waiting I hope we'll hear from the HO soon.

Why my app was refused

Post by rec212 » Sat May 18, 2013 7:48 pm

My application was refused because my solicitor gave me the wrong advice; his sole interest was the money.

I was on a visitor visa and he advised me to apply for FLR(o) article 8 whilst it is clear that on the HO website that a visitor cannot switch to any visa!

I contacted the Ombudsman and my case is currently under investigation, I am also collecting the evidence so that I can prove this scam and get my money back.

Hi Bagaja,

It is not your solicitors fault but the home office. The waiting times are ridiculous. I have been waiting for 14months now and many on this forum have been waiting for over a year

FLR O rene waiting since Dec 12, employers getting impatient

Post by Mrs Ali » Sun May 19, 2013 8:26 pm

Case Submitted for renewal of FLRM 12/12
Acknowledgement received 28/12/12
Bio-metrics Letter received: 06/03/13
Biometrics done: 21/03/13
Awaiting Decision

My employers are now getting very upset, this has put me in a very difficult position. I dont know what to do and I am very stressed now. It has been 5 months and waiting.

We have a flat together and decent jobs. We have been married (not acknowledged by Home office) for nearly 8 years.
