you are right , i am fine waiting till next weekend but atleast its not in queue to be assigned to CW ....I expected delays, hence i have planned it with sufficient time on hand....anyway lets hope these delays dont affect those who really cant afford !

given that a CW started working on ur application just frm yesterday, it may take upto end of next week for u to receive ur docs back after stamping. That's like 1 month and 2 weeks and soon it may be 7-8 weeks to complete a straight forward case. It's really to long a period to hold the passport by HO.

I guess suggesting 50 days time period is now quite common as i too was told 50 days when i called last wednesday. We both have apparently applied on same date 29th april . I was too dejected when i heard 50 days & particularly when he told me its still not assigned to a caseworker ........but to my surprise i got a phone call from home office yesterday early morning by caseworker asking for page 34 to be signed and sent back to him by email . He told he has started to work on my case yesterday - which was good to hear !

I am sure your case also will be taken this week , just hang on and try calling them on friday or monday - i am sure you should hear positive update

i am also switching from WP to Tier 1 & I too assumed its not for us ...but if you look at Section AA - it says to be completed by ALL .... its too easy to miss out , but I guess since you have applied through consultant they would be rather aware.....

The reason i said to check with your consultant is to make sure if this is not a reason for any delay for your case yet not with a CW....I dont really want to drive you crazy but on safer side just ask your consultant if they have completed sectionn AA1 ...if yes,then you have one less thing to worry !!!

guys, you have been missed out one of my post. it just means that the applications recd during these days are being assgned to case workers. further to clarify this, it means its been asigned a case worker and doesnt mean that case worker is working on it. so considering the backlog, they have just assigned it

i think it is. i think what they mean by strt frwrd is that they dont have to do any enquiry.

i am going to ask a question, which i asked before.

i am on HSMP and have applied for extension. Can HO also go for verification of previous employer at time of application of old HSMP. The reason for my concern is, that if they can do, i want to call up my 5 years old employer back in India, to let them know that somebody can call up. i m not even sure, if there is anybody, who stil knows me.

Ohh man.. Sorry to read about that rejection.. So the theory of rejections happen at earlier stage in 2-3 weeks is false... Nothing is sure untill and unless you get the documents back in hand..

As per my knowledge there are several stages the application will go thorugh
1. Payment
2. Verification of all the required/supporting documents
3. Verifying with sources if required.
above will happen in 2-3 weeks
4. Case worker start looking at the application
4a. Check the application and clarify with the applicant if any issues.
4b. Asses the point claimed .
4c . Decision on the application.
5. If Rejected send it back or If approved then send it for Stamping.
6. Passport verification
7. Stamping and sedning it back.

My friend case has failed in stage 4b.
