Hi everyone

As our useful skydrive has been holidays for quite a while, I created a new spreadsheet that we probably use meanwhile. Information of someone is already added.

How to use.
1. Anyone can add info without signing in. You might need to refresh the page if it asks you to sign in.
2. You will add your info after the last line of the sheet if your name hasn't been yet there.
3. Unfortunately you cannot sort this sheet. Google won't let you if you aren't in the list :( I will try to sort it for you.
4. If anyone would like to have full ability of edit, sort and change, please let me know. I will need your email to put in the list. I will be more than happy for everyone to take care of this sheet.

I'm new to google doc, so it might not properly function. Please let me know if anything need changing.

Hope the skydrive is back soon.
Cheers

Hi,
I got my ILR on 26-04-2014 on the basis of 10 years long residence. Before ILR i was on Tier1 general which was valid till 15-07-2016.My wife came to uk as my IGS dependent on 16-11-2008 and change Tier 1 Dependent her tier 1 dependent visa is valid till 15-07-2016 and i have two son who is born in UK my questions is:

I am applying FLR(M) for my wife on the basis of I got the ILR so my wife will be dependent of mine. My Question is Would my wife be eligible for ILR SET(M) straight away after getting her FLR(M) ???????

Please any one can advise me.

Thanks In advance

Hi Zaiby,
Timeline is around 3-4 months if you have straight forward case. Most of them are decided by 16-18 weeks, so fingers crossed and all the best. Thanks.

Hi Everyone

First of all Many Thanks to Konprode for the spreadsheet.
Guys i have a query. I have applied for my my wife's FLR M on 30th March and got Acknowledgement on 2nd April 2014 but
haven't heard anything from HOME OFFICE regarding her Biometric Invitation. One month gone and no biometric invitation
letter. Is this because i told them to hold my wife's application until they decide my ILR(LT) ??

Please Advise me .

Waiting for reply

Hi mskhan,
Agree with you a big thanks to Konprode for the spreadsheet, it is very helpful.
Now regards to your wife FLR(M), in our case, I applied for my wife FLR(M) on the 02nd of April 2014, and we got the acknowledgement on the 10th and biometric invitation on the 15th and recorded them on the 19th of April. I also asked the case to be put on hold till my SET(LR) is decided.
I would suggest to call them just in case it's not lost in the post or some thing else, it's better to be safe than sorry. All the best buddy.
Kind regards
Shahjee

10 years long residence applications

Post by imranahmed3651 » Sat May 03, 2014 12:39 am

Hi All,
I have been reading and find helpful this forum.

My story is bit complicate please help me if you know about similar case as mine.

1) I am living UK from 0ct 2004 and have been on student visa and PSW. Currently I am on student visa and visa will expire in June 2014. Can I apply for ILR ? As I got 3 months and 11 days short to complete my ten years .
IF YES then which form to apply.
IF NOT then what you advise me to apply for .

2) My wife joined me Sep 2011 and she joined me as a PSW dependent and later in March 2012 she got student dependent Visa with me and will also expire same as me June 2014. Can my wife apply with me on ILR as she has been living in UK almost 2years & 10 months AND she got extension before 9 JUly 2012 so I think she fulfill the 2 year requirement

IF YES She qualify for ILR then please advise me which form to submit.

IF NOT then please advise me which form I can submit together with my ILR application.

3) My daughter born in March 2014 , which form i need to apply or shall i wait till i get ILR then get her British passport.

Please advise me and I am request all people who knows about similar situation.

Many Thanks

Dear Imran ,

i am not an experienced or qualified advisor/solicitar so my suggestion or advice may not going to help you ....however i can tell you some point which may help you ..

if u r short of 3 months and few days in your 10 years you can apply for ILR before 28 days before you complete your 10 years so don't do that mistake ...you can apply for student visa in june 2014 and by the time you will get your decision of student visa you can apply for ILR ....so this way your stay will be regularise ....how ever there are few complications in student visa as well they r now giving the out come of student visa with in few weeks and also five years cap will also there so in your case i am not sure wether five years will affect you or not but if your student visa will be refused becoz of five years cap you will definetly get right to appeal and as on your family is here they may grant you stay on discretion only becoz u r married and u have daughter ....by the time you will be going through all these process ( student visa applicaton - dio metric - out come - appeal process ) you will complete your 10 years i.e october 2014 so you can with draw the appeal ( if u were in appeal ) AND AT THE SAME TIME /DAY you have to lodge ILR application ( variation base ) if you will not do those in same day then you will be in trouble .....

seek advise from any experienced solicitor and if you search on this forum there must be so many cases like u in past ....

and as you said your wife visa is also expiring along with you so u have to apply for her along with you ..i have no idea about your daughter as she born in MARCH 2014 ...According to the dependant criteria you have to apply for her as well ( but i am not sure about her )

best of luck just keep these in your mind ...

those three months you have to regularise your stay for which u hv to apply for student visa which will increase your expenses but will save your last 9 years and 9 months ....so be carefull ....

thanks

Hi Imran,

1) I would suggest you to apply for student visa extension and I hope you will get it as u switched to PSW in between so your 5 year cap starts from the date you switched from PSW to back on student.

2) For your daughter you can apply as a dependent in student visa application but if u wana save some money and dnt have any urgent travel plans i would advise you apply her her naturalisation next year hopefully after your ILR. I did the same with my daughter she is born in June 2011.

3) Once you have 28 days left you can apply SET (LR) form for you and If you want you can send your wife's FLR (m) with a cover letter explaining HO that once your application decided they can consider her application.

4) Inshallah once you will have you ILR by end of this year and your Mrs flr (m) then you may able to switch in SET (m) for you wife but I am not very sure as HO rules are not very clear about it yet.

Wish you luck mate I know some people may suggest you to go for ILR as by the time HO will decide your Application your 10 years will be completed but I personally suggest you not to go down that road as you may end up paying endless fees to Solicitors with hell lot of hassle.

Good Luck
