Hi.... everyone. Got a friend that want to extend her HSMP in march as the initial will expire in April. She just got married and the husband reside in Dublin, Ireland. Husband is not an Irish citizen but a temporary resident. she want to if she can add her husband as her dependent when applying for extension. The husband normally comes around to UK on visitor's visa. Every suggestion will be appreciated. thanks

Her husband should also be currently on the same type of Visa to go for extension ; wat she can do is once her visa is extended her hubby can apply for dependents visa from there..

An applicant can apply for extension only when they both are on the same type of visa's.. as of now no, he can not apply with the main applicant, shd apply seperately once main applicant visa is renewed as there is not much time now..

Re: checklist clarification

Post by go2khurram » Mon Mar 15, 2010 3:56 pm

If you are planning to apply ur spouse with your applicaton then you need the certificate, otherwise you don't need it , however there is no issue to mentioned that you are married now, infact its better to mention the actual marital status.

veera4u wrote:thanks go2khurram....

I have another question.

I got married recently but not applying for an dependent visa now. I do not have my marital status changed in passport and not received the marriage certificate yet. If i mention the status as MARRIED in the extension form do i still need to give marriage certificate even though not processing dependent visa

Comments are welcomes from others as well....

go2khurram wrote:Hi You don't need to send No 5, 6 & 8. the rest is ok. keep ur application as simple as possible and to the point.

veera4u wrote:Hello all,

I plan to apply HSMP to Tier1 Extension in next few days and below are my check list items. Can anyone please confirm that everything is fine or
missing something?

1. Cover Letter
2. Application Form (only the required sections. For e.g. No dependent so can ignore dependent form sections)
3. Photos - 2 Nos
4. Passport
5. Age proof - Birth Certificate
6. Qualitication - Degree Certificate
7. Earnings & UK Experience - 12 month payslips, 12 months SAVINGS ACCOUNT statement (this is where my salary got credited), Letter from employer
8. English Requirement - Letter from Institution used at the time of intial HSMP
9. Maintenance Funds - Same 12 months savings account statement.

Tier 1 Dependant

Post by vj123 » Mon Mar 15, 2010 10:28 pm

Hi All,

Not sure if this is the right section to be posting this question but am just a newbie.

I am a HSMP visa holder planning to get an extension on Tier 1. Have currently filled the form and am waiting for my bank statements to arrive

I have the following doubts:

On page 30 for the Dependant Tier 1 Form section K4 mentions about 'A-rated sponsor'. I guess this is only for Tier 2 and Tier 5 Dependants if am right.

Can anyone please confirm on this?

Also there is a section for Identity Card for Foreign Nationals. Should I just leave this blank or should I leave in a comment there saying Not Applicable?

Also my bank statements havent arrived yet. Have been following up for the past 3 weeks but to no avail. The bank representative says he is doing his best and that's the max he can do from his end.

Is it fine if I can get an attested print from the bank and submit those as bank statements for the month of February?

Many thanks,
VJ

My question is related to early extension.

Has anyone applied extension more than 4 months, say 5 or 6 months from expiry date and got approval? It would be great if you could post your timelines?

Many thank,
Zh lad

Fee Deduction

Post by go2khurram » Tue Mar 16, 2010 1:07 pm

hi guys,

I am bit surprised with the efficiency of HO. I sent application yesterday I mean 15th march through post office and I arrive this morning on 16th march. I just check my banck account online just a moment ago I mean around 12 noon and say that fee money was deducted.

I saw different ppl’s post and found that money normally deducted after a week of application received by HO but in my case money is deducted after a moment application arrive at PO Box of HO

Any one has such kind of experience?

This is Tier 1 Extension application...

Tier-1 extension approval

Post by s16puneet » Wed Mar 17, 2010 12:43 pm

Hi,

I got my Tier1 extension from HSMP today. Applied in person on 9th March, but due to strike decision was not given on same day. Recieved my documents by post today.

Useful for contractors with Ltd company setup:

There has been lot of confusion surrounding documentation required for the applicants who have their Ltd company and taking dividends & salary.
I just applied as Employeed, provided salary slips & dividend vouchers, bank statements and letter from accountant. And it's all sorted, no questions asked.
From my experienc i think there is no need for Company accounts, Profit loss statements, Balance sheet or Invoices.

I will be glad to help if anyone has questions related to this topic.

Regards
Puneet

Hi

I am on HSMP valid till 01/04/2010 and applied for extension on 31/01/2010. But today my application was returned invalid as I used previous version of application (04/09 instead of 10/09). Now I am planning to reapply tomorrw by post as I didn't get any appointments in this month.

My questions:
1. Do I need to take any special permission to stay beyond 01/04/2010?
2. I am moving home from 01/04/2010 so what address do I need to provide in the visa application? If I give my current address, then can I use Royal mail redirection? Do they deliver passports (which require signature) as well?
3. In the worst case, if my visa gets rejected, do I need to leave immediately or will I have some time for appeal? Also my son was born just 20 days ago so if I am asked to leave, do they allow the baby as he doesn't have passport or visa. My passport is with Home office from 31/01/2010.

Any other advice is appreciated.

Sorry to hear that, but don't worry as long as you have all the documentation which gives you enough point you will be fine.

1. You dont need to get any special permission to stay beyond 01/04.2010. A long as you apply for extension before 01/04/2010, you can legally stay in UK till you get back application's result.

2. Yes, I have faced it before. Redirection would work for you. Double check with royal mail.

3. If it gets rejected, your rejection letter will tell you details of your appeal rights and number of days to appeal within. I think its usually 14 days. But in that case you will be better off taking solicitor's advise. Nothing to panic even then, you can still stay in UK till decision is made on your appeal. And as long as you have enough point you need not to worry.

Thanks
