Congrats to the Feb applicants who are getting their ILR approvals through! It seems to me the timeline for waiting is now 14-15 weeks, rather then 12-13 weeks as it was before.

Just have a quick question- I moved address after I sent in my ILR application, and have changed it online (on the GOV website). However, I sent a self-addressed envelope (which has my old address) along with the application so they can post my documents back to me. I'm worried they will just plonk my documents into that envelope and it will go to my old address. Does anyone else have the same experience, and do you know any way to deal with it?

Yes it can be a possibility.
Best way is you can redirect the mail.
Do redirection as soon as you can.
Give a call to them as well.

Hi Zaiby,
I am afraid that the answer is NO, as after the 06th April 2014, any dependants applying for an FLR(M) have to spend qualifying time of 5 years for their ILR.
If I am you, I would withdraw my LR application and apply with my dependants in March 2015, I know it is completely unfair for the Home Office to make such a drastic change knowing that it will effect honest people like you go through the agony and pain of waiting for another 5 years to get their life's on track.
I hope other senior members will comment to explain as well.
I hope it helps mate.

Shahjee I disagree with you, they have been alot of discussions on this topic in this forum if you dig properly into the previous posts you will see that few forum members have applied for their dependents straight on SET M after approval of their dependents FLR M. Their dependents was in the UK before the new rule was introduced and have spent quite some years (more than 2yrs) before the April 6th 2014 rule. They all got their ILR approved.

ZAIB I can only advice you to dig deep into this forum and you will find the information and probably contact those forum members who have succeeded in applying straight SET M after FLR M approval. A typical example is one of my friends wife was in the UK since 2006 under the old rule, her husband got his ILR under the 10 years long residency in January 2014 and applied for his wife's FLR M and after successful application he then applied for his wife's SET M within one month and she was given her ILR in March 2014.All her application both FLR M and SET M was on PEO-face to face appearance. Unfortunately this my friend is not a member of the forum.
Hope this helps

shahjee1234 is correct, I'm afraid, in that those PBS deps who apply to switch to FLR(M) after 6 April 2014 will be subject to Appendix FM (5 year route) regardless of when their PBS dep leave was granted.

Hi Hardikjshah,
I am afraid that it will be a wait of 5 years for SET(M) if she got a 2.5 years visa on her FLR(M)
I thought that you will ask the Home Office for Administration review, as they should have granted a 2 years visa on the FLR(M) to your Mrs. As I said on previous occasions that the quality of case workers is such that you get different decisions each time. You rather contest that original decision to get it confirmed.

my 10 years will clock in september but my case for tier 4 is with home office for past 1 year and recently they correspond on the toeic issue i am guessing they won't gunna make a decision anytime soon. My question is will it be the same timeline for me if i divert my application in september i.e 12-14 weeks or will it be more or less?? Anyone who went through similar situation please reply.

Hello mate,
Every one follows pretty much the same time line, and it actually depends on the date that you apply. You rightly said that the timeline now is about 12-15 weeks, and I would presume that it should be the same for you. Mind it that you can apply 28 days prior to the completion of your 10 years, and remember to write them regards to you varying your Tier 4 application to SET(LR) application. All the best.

Hi Khani,

I am not sure if the HO will be of much help. Have you checked your Royal Mail tracking number (if you have one). I look at 4 people above me on the excel sheet. I can only pray for yours to be asap, indirectly I am praying for myself. ;)
