Just got mine.

Application type : HSMP to tier-1 extension
Points claimed : 120 (100 + 20)

Application sent : Oct 8 (by special delivery)
Application received: Oct 9
Payment deducted: Oct 9
Payment type: Debit card (Lloyds TSB)
Reference letter : received on 13 Oct letter was dated 9 Oct
Visa Received by courier: 29 Oct

I opted for courier pickup and rightly so because of the postal strikes. I used 3D courier services and would recommend them for certain.

Congrats Prabhus, and thanks for promptly updating the thread. My case is absolutely like you, except the payment which went in on the 14th. Would you mind PM'ing me your reference number, so I can get an idea where might application might be in processing?

Can you also update the poll on which day the HO put your documents in the post? Or is it immaterial since you got it picked up by courier?

Thanks to everyone. For interested people, the documents that I sent for extension are.

1. Simple cover letter explaining the number of points claimed and documents attached. No mention of any total earning etc.
2. Latest photos without specs.
3. 12 month bank statement, 12 payslips.
4. Marriage certificate for dependent.

I didn't underline the pay in bank statements.

Hi,
Thanks for info Prab... and congratulations on your success.

I think they use same fax number for both categories.

I've applied for HSMP to Tier 1 extn on 26th September along with 2 dependent applications. I am increasingly worried about the status of my application, as i've noticed people who had applied after me have their visa approved. The offical HO timelines says 6 weeks to process Tier 1 application, have i pressed the panic button a bit too early?

Is someone else who applied before 26th September, waiting for a decision?
