Visa Application still shows under process

Post by JS26 » Thu Jun 14, 2012 11:40 am

Hi All,

Nice to see you, I am new to this forum. Feels nice when I see you all receiving your Visa.

Even I am waiting for my settlement Visa.

25/04/12 : Application submitted at VFS Pune.
25/04/12 : Application sent to BHC.
30/04/12 : Application under process at BHC.

I have already booked my tickets for 25th June and the date is closing now.

Feeling very impatient and nervous as to when will it arrive, when I called the VFS they asked me to wait until 25th of July, that will be three months from my application..

Best to be on the safe side. I'll mention it to her and ask her to find out.

The waiting is horrible. Feels like a lifetime. Fingers crossed its good news and her visa is granted ASAP. I feel lost without her.

Btw thanks for answering my questions. Really appreciate it
The wait is a killer for sure. Fingers crossed for you!!
Also i forgot to mention in my previous post that the BHC in India was open on Tuesday the 5th. I think someone even called them and wrote about it in this thread.
Give us the good news soon :)

Fingers crossed

Also does anyone know the collection times for AHM are, and when it changes to that status, do you know how long it takes to "ready for collection" is it pretty much next day?
Hi pazpatel,

All the best. Hope you get the results in your favour.
Thanks for the wishes, let us know your story, it looks like this is the first post you have made, are you also applying for settlement if so when and where have you applied?

Hi Pazz,

Yeah, I added you on facebook yesterday. I applied on April 27th, at VFS Hyderabad. I just about crossed the 30 day mark. Half of my wait is over. Remaining half left which is brutal!

I am hoping that it will be issued before 60 days are counted. Although the last published stats were a bit worrying.

I am a bit unsure about the decision because my partner and I lived in India for a year, and we only submitted the lease agreement for the place in UK (as he was still in India at that point) without any utility bills. But, if they do any checks, it should be fine as he has paid all the bills last month and registered with the local council!

Let's hope they don't be silly and say "you should have waited until he went back to UK and apply!"

Anyway, congrats again and I bet you can't wait for your wife to come over!

Why is this topic digressing to "if I have applied for settlement visa from India I can post anything and ask anything"?

Members are free to post their queries in the appropriate forums and free to create their own topics to seek answer to their queries.

This doesn't necessarily mean that members can post queries, that are irrelevant to the subject of the topic, in an existing topic. The layman term used to refer to such off-topic posts and attempts is called "hijacking a topic". Refraining from "hijacking a topic" is a universally recognised netiquette that everyone is expected to follow, including members of this forum.

While you consider it a "right" to be able to post whatever and where you want, there are other members who wish to view only relevant information in a topic with a specific subject. And, that need is more relevant than a self-claimed right.

Hi all,

My spouse applied for her settlement visa from Chandigarh AC on 11/04/12 and we are still waiting. Application is still showing as under process at the BHC. Its currently 45 working days as of Friday 15th June 2012. I have subtracted all the bank holidays as well.

Mal1990, since you also applied via the Chandigarh visa office but on 4th April 2012, that would make yours 48 working days as of 15th June 2012. There were 2 bank holidays in April, one in May and 2 in June. You need to subtract 5 working days.

Can I just check, does everyone looking to settle in the UK need to go for the medical? If so, whats the time gap from when they request a medical for you and actually getting the visa? Also how much notice do they give you approximately once they inform you to get a medical done?

I hope you two get your VISAs real soon! There is one more person who applied before you two. Once you gets yours, we can see some hope for April! I really hope they are not delaying it too much now!

You cannot submit any new documents.... So do not worry at all, if they need something they will contact you, there is no need to inform them at this stage I believe. You can always call the BHC in Mumbai and let them know
