Does that mean that the online tracking system shows you if the visa has been granted?

I thought it only shows if the papers are ready for collection.

Congrats by the way :)

Hi,

I am submitting visa application for my wife in 2 weeks, however my solicitor has gone off sick so I have to do it myself.

The documentation I have is -
Relationship -
- My Passport (shows nationality/ visas for visiting Pakistan for wedding)
- My Pakistan ID card
- Screenshots of Skype history
- SMS history
- Photograph of wedding
- Airline booking and hotel receipts for holiday in Maldives and Dubai
- Photos from holiday
- Nikkah certificate
- Sample wedding invitation cards

Financial Status -
- Copy of my CV (Do I need this?)
- Bank statements (6 months?) for savings and current accounts
- Monthly pay slips for last 6 months
- P60 from 2011
- Employer letter confirming employment
- NS&I premium bonds certificate
- Tenancy agreement from house I own which is rented out.

Accomodation Status -
- An Accomodation certificate from local council
- A Letter from me confirming relationship and me sponsoring my wife to come stay in the property ( I've not done this yet, does anyone have a sample?)
- A Letter from my dad who owns the property saying she can live here (Again not done this, so sample would be useful)

Do I need a copy of the deeds for my dad's house? or even my house that I rent out?
If so how do I get these as my Dad is in Pakistan at the moment, and I am going on the 13th and hope to take the papers with me?

Thanks

help. going to apply for visa

Post by som1984 » Tue Jan 03, 2012 12:56 pm

Hi, i have been following this forum for along time now. i am due to go to pakistan to get married in April 2012. I have read alot of comments about visas being rejected due to evidence of communication.

I have been in contact with my wife to be for over 2 years. however i have some itemised bills from Lyca Mobile from sept 2009 for about 4 months. i then went onto use phone cards of which i now know is not accepted as proof. i have printed off all my itemised billing this goes back about 18 months. would it be sufficient if i highlighted the calls made and inserted the card onto the page.

also i am preparing my documents to hand in at the end of april. i will take with me my wage slip and bank statement to the end of march 2012. is there a deadline for me to hand oin the documents as i have read here before that there is a certain time period?

could you please help???

I dont think you need to worry about any communication evidence from before your wedding. They only look to see that your married relationship is on going.

I have a cousin who got married, submitted the application 2 weeks after the wedding and it was granted. Prior to his wedding he had only talked to his spouse once or twice.

quick question..

Post by earthlling » Tue Jan 03, 2012 7:51 pm

How long has it taken on average for everyone's status to change from "Forwarded to ISL OC" to "Under Process".
My wife applied on the 16th December but the status is still same...

Ours took 16 days including weekends and bank holidays. Ours was submitted on 14th December and under process on the 30th. A few of the other members here have similar times, just a day before or after.

If yours follows the same sort of time then it should change in the next day or two.

Let us know what happens.

TB test Problem - Please Help

Post by TxS » Tue Jan 03, 2012 9:41 pm

Salaam Everyone.

I received a noticed of withdrawal on 3rd November.

Before we submitted the application, we got a TB test done from IOM Mirpur. The doctor got suspicious because my wife got a scar on her chest x-rays. They asked us to come in three days to do an extended test but they came back and said she don’t have TB (November 2010). He agreed that the scar in from Asthma.

My wife’s TB certificate was expired so we went to IOM Mirpur to get the TB test done again. As she got a scar on her chest x-rays, they got suspicious again and asked us to come in three days to do an extended test. The doctor (different doctor this time) claims she has TB (December 2011)

We are sure she doesn’t have TB so we went to well known AGA Khan Foundation and Tariq Lab to get a TB test done. These two and many other doctors say she don’t have TB.

Now when we went back to IOM Mirpur to show proof she doesn’t have TB, they are not budging. They say they can’t be wrong. We have tried to book an appointment for a re-test at IOM Islamabad, but after giving my wife’s Passport number, they say we are not allowed to have a re-test within the next 6 months as she is said to have TB.

Now can the experts on this board PLEASE give me advice as...well you know how I’m feeling... :-(

Jazakallah

What are they saying in regards to treatment for the TB?

As I understand it, if the person does have TB and can show that he/she is getting the right treatment, they should still be able to come to the UK.
