Insha'allah you will be. At least this gap has made us all stronger.
This process is not easy, being away from our loved ones, filling all these forms, getting the right documents, getting our nika namas stamped and translated, going to the cash point every second day to buy calling cards (or maybe that ones just 4 me).

When our partners come, we should all have a spouse dinner party!!!

Someone on this forum once said something along the lines of :

"There are couples in this world who, yet being so physically close to each other are still so distant from each other."

The main thing is to love our partners, and compromise those difficult things. No-one is perfect. Love is built up over time.

(Before I start making everyone emotional on here I'm going to get back to work.)

English Test Requirement

Post by Mandarin » Thu Jan 26, 2012 3:46 pm

This forum has been wonderful in guiding applicants. I applied for the visa on 2/12/2011. I received a rejection on 26/01/2012. It was unexpected and am at a loss. How do I proceed from here? :(

My rejection was based on the fact that I had only submitted my English Language test certificate and not the statement of results. I was unaware that a statement of results was needed. Shouldn't an original certificate from Cambridge be enough? I had received no such statement from the test centre where I had given my test in June.

I had used the following link as my guide:

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... lement.pdf

I am very worried.

Good Luck to you all!!
Great news Mas and Rehan2, many many congratulations. Seems like us december lot shouldn't be so far behind . . . .

From following the forum it seems like they tend to process most visas at the end of the month, maybe to meet their monthly statistics targets????

Hmmmm, so no update on the site before the text? Which means it's useless checking the website 10 times a day! :P

Will update u guys as soon as Mrs hears anything :)

Alhamdullilah, my wife got her English results after 6 long weeks. City and Guilds take for ever publishing results.

I am so happy.

Naila, yes we have to make our spouses do the cooking!!!

Are you sure about that? Surely your latest wage slip suggests you still work at the same place so doesn't matter how old the letter is...does it?

If it is then think we might be in trouble as the letter i sent was about 4 months old when the papers were submitted...

Guess it would be better to have a latest one sent from the bank. I was going to submit my bank statement that was going to be 1 months old. But have been notified its better to have one more recent to the date one submits the case.

Thank You so much for that, I will actually do all that and get my employer to write another letter and get it signed and dated to the latest date possible.

What about the inspection certificate? And the letter written on behalf off my mum and dad to live rent free at their house? I cant afford to get another housing inspection certificate done, will the one that i have already sent be valid?

I will tell hubby about them three sheets insha'Allah, just waiting for his results.

The vaf4a form will be filled out by my husband right?

So he will have to put that down. Shall i not just mention it in my sponsorship letter?

I have the latest bank statement and wage slips now, i will be sending them off via my bay-ji who is going back to Pakistan on 2nd Feb.
