Hi Umesh,
THe payment was a simple DD (Demand draft) drawn in favour of Home Office. I got it from State Bank of India in GBP.
The documents that I sent were

1. All Engineering mark sheets + Convocation Certificate
2. Bank Statements for the past year
3. Pay Slips
4. Income Certificate from Employer
5. IT Return for 2006-07
6. Birth Certificate
7. Marriage Certificate
8. Notorised passport
9. Affidavit claiming that all names with different initials on applications and certificates are mine

ALthough my application has reached on Dec 14 to the home office, I am still awaiting the reference number

Thanks
Deepak

Thanks Deep, i wish you all the luck. I do think perhaps its taking a little more time for drafts even though they say 5 working days ! Postal Order means Draft i guess.

Rejected!

Post by lapppt » Thu Dec 21, 2006 1:33 pm

Sorry I posted here before knowing that there was a new rejection posting section. My application has been refused. I did not get points on the earning section on the ground that the evidence I provided was outside the 15 months' qualifying period. The documents I submitted showed that I finished my studies on July 2005 and therefore I have not been a full-time student over the last 12 month in order for them to consider my previous earning before becoming a student.

Although I finished my studies on July 2005 my graduation was actually in Novermber 2005 so, I thought this could be within the 15 months. However, the graduation date was not included in the letter supplied by the university so the HO considered the July 2005 as the graduation date.

However, I have a question I want to ask you guys. The guidance says that they can consider your previous earning if you have been a full time student in the last 12-15 months. But what if you have been unable to earn income in the last 15 months because of reasons such as sickness? My circumstances fall on this. Having finished my studies in July 2005, I enroled in another studies in the UK but had to drop out because of sickness. I went back to my country for treatment and took a long time to recover. In such situation I was also unable to work.

I did not include my sickness in the application form. However, they told me that I can ask for review if I want but without any fresh evidence. So I was thinking whether I should ask for review and explain my circumstances of not earning income and hear what they say or I should make a fresh application where I can submit fresh evidence of my sickness which led me to drop out of my studies as well as being unable to earn income in the last 15 months.

What do you think guys?
Hi
paramjit is right air mail service will take very long time to reach me , possibly more than a month. Also its not secure ,not trackable. Well i can spend some bucks for courier for safe delivery of my original docs. Mail system in Saudia is not so good , i can't trust atleast on Saudi Postal system.
So let see when they reply my mails and i make final arrangement 4 the courier. Well be carefull for original document return irrespective of the decision result.

Cheers
Hasan
Hello Hadi,

Is it not possible to just call them and ask what is the decision. From what I have seen, they do convey the decision on the phone.

Hi All,

I am sending my HSMP Application and I have following supporting evidences, Please have a look and suggest if I missed anything:

Out-of-country applicant: INDIA

Payment to be made through CC

Academic Qualifications – 30 Points Claimed
1) Original Degree certificate of Bachelor of Engineering
2) Originlal letter of comparsion by the UK NARIC

Previous earnings – salaried employment – 45 Points Claimed
1) Wage slips for past 12 months period - "Stamped and signed"
2) Letter from employer stating my earnings for the past 12 months - "On Employer letter head, Stamped and signed"
3) Bank Statements showing salary deposit for the past 12 months period calimed -"On Bank's official stationery".
4) Letters from employer for the total Tax Deduction for past 12 months - "On Employer letter head, Stamped and signed".
5) Photo copy of TDS certificate for last financial year, which covers the period of 5 months out of total 12 months claimed, as additional evidence.
Although I have claimed the exceptional evidence, for not submitting the Full ITR.

I believe all the above proofs are sufficient to demonstate the earnings over past 12 months.
