I'm so sorry to hear that.

Maybe the Immigration Council of Ireland, Citizens Information, or a solicitor would be able to assist you in applying again?

I'm speechless and stunned bcos loads of people including my best friend got their citizenship approval even with traffic offence that led Tia court fine,as long as it's paid. Was urs just a court fine or conviction?

The government here want you to be more than perfect and in the same time they know very well how the life here like ... and how much the foreigners suffer in renewing their documents and how much they charge for it and how much paperwork and the stress of the official yearly part of their life, PLUS their normal daily suffering and on the top of all that it doesn't matter if you paying tax or not BUT YOU BROKE THE RED LIGHTS, doesn't matter if you can speak English or not, doesn't matter if you know the history of Ireland or not doesn't matter if you can write your name or not but when it comes to the normal traffic lights offence IT DOES MATTER.

@Abderkadder22
hire a solicitor mate, some cases went to court and they came back with positive outcomes.
if your traffic offences are minor and u have no criminal history that go to a good solicitor.
Good luck man

I agree, these cases should be brought up to court's attention.

I know this person who was married to Irish girl in 2006, one Irish born Child. after few years their marriage broke and then he had drink driving conviction, just after the drink driving conviction was spent, he applied for citizenship and after one years waiting, he got letter stating that minister will wait for another year and will see hows behavior after one year. So dept did not refuse but put the application on hold till Jan 2015. So he went to few rehab courses and will contact them again in Dec with statements like he will never do it again, he is always in employment and never burden on state or done anything wrong otherwise etc.
Now back to @Adber, I think it must be some gruesome offence or some serious nature, or the applicant may have burden on state or something, hence minister is refusing. I wondering what other ties has @Adber with Ireland i.e. his/her kids are Irish/Irish Citzens? his/her spouse is Irish/Irish citizen/EU? His/her profession? Any burden on State? and so on.. May be its me, but I think the decision may be of collective reasons rather breaking red line on two occasions!

There is no one to stand for the non nationals in Ireland, when they decided to put the price up for the green card to JUMP from €150 to €300 no one said MERCY ON US, No one as well when it was €80 jump to €150 the same and no one give heat ,about how are you .,between the prices that going up PLUS the high tax. Who said no please they have enough bills take it easy on them NO ONE. Someone was refused for being caught driving with expired tax was refused STRAIGHT AWAY. Someone was refused again for committing an offence good few years back, was refused for the reason of committing the offences in the same year, he applied and he paid the fines and all but cos there is no one watching. CAN ANYONE HERE OR FROM OUTSIDE ANSWER ME THIS QUESTION : HOW DID MR/Shatter found 21000 "TWENTY ONE THOUSAND" application as backlog ??????? do you think were the immigration department of the DOJ doing their jobs !!!!!!!
I DARE ANYONE ANSWER ME WITH YES . Foreigners here are dealt with without supervision ;
