Application sent via next day delivery: 5th October
Application received by HO: 6th October
Payment debited: 13th October
Reference number received dated: 13th October

I called up UKBA today on recieving mail about Refusal of One of Dependent Application on grounds of invalid Photo. Then Called up UKBAafter long struggle they gave me Royal mail Tracking Number for Package they had sent to me which was posted on 3rd November.

Im not able to track.. Message from the Royal Mail Website Tells

" Recorded Signed Forâ„¢ items are only tracked after the item has been delivered. Depending on whether the item was sent first or second class, this may be a few days after posting. Please try again later.

Information on your item is not yet available online. "

Called up Royal Mail - They responded by saying this is '' Recorded Signed For '' ... So it cannot be tracked ...

Any thoughts ? :(

Hi GV81, yes thats correct "signed for" deliveries can only be tracked once they are delivered. I presumed you have not sent self addressed Special delivery envelope with your application. Wait for next 3-4 days, you should get it.

Hi

Friend of mine applied for Extension (HSMP to Tier1) and he was applied two months before and he's not heard anything from home office. His current stay is going to expire in a month.

He sent his application on 8th Sep.

its already been 9weeks since he sent his application..

Did he try to contact HO for status.. though they say status only after 14weeks?

In between once applicatin submitted did he receive any correspondence from HO apart from Ref letter??

I think he shd try to give acall for status:

Does your friend think his case is straight forward OR does he think something in his case might make the case worker do verification?

MORE details pls

He's worrying as his current stay going to expire in another two week.

HSMP to Tier 1 Renewal. Success!

22 Oct: Docs Sent.
23 Oct: Docs arrived and payment taken out.
27 Oct: Received confirmation letter.
13 Nov: Passport with visa in post box.

This forum is awesome. Used it for research before Student visa to HSMP switch two years ago (that took just 2 hours at the visa office as I decided to do it in my country in Africa) and now HSMP to Tier 1 (just over two weeks).

My advise to others is. Research, read the guidance notes thoroughly (and quote the paragraphs in your cover letter). My cases where always not straight forward but with enough prep work, all worked out rather quickly!

You must give a call to HO..

Please look at the 'Processing time' section @
http://www.bia.homeoffice.gov.uk/workin ... tingtimes/

It states the following:
During the week commencing 16 November 2009 we expect to be considering applications that were received on or before 28 October 2009. Please note that this timescale is a guideline only, and some cases may take longer to consider.

I guess HO is taking more time than wht they mentioned in their website.

I dnt find anyone who got approval in lastweek and this week too.

Its been 22days since i applied and till now no news. Whereas there are many case who got their approval in just 17-20days as per trackitt site.

I dnt know why they taking so much time..

Sorry, but the other way is to look into the results from co-applicants during the same time frame, from this forum

Well, their timelines may and may not be accurate at any given time. For the week starting 26th October, they were supposedly considering applications received (actually payment deducted) on the 16th October and earlier.

My payment was deducted on the 14th October, however my visa was stamped next week on the 2nd November, so its rather skewed.

A good way is to look at people:

1) whose payment got deducted the same day as yours, and also
2) sent the same number of applications (main + x number of dependants)

That should give you a fair idea how things are going. Also, I am sure you must be on trackitt.com. If not, do go there and have a look.

Regards
