Guys do you know if my husband can apply for a Provisional Licence now that he is here?

Or is there a certain number of days he has to apply after?

"A plethora of immigration tweaks were announced yesterday, mainly of a technical nature. There is still no sign of the introduction of a minimum income level nor the ending of Tier 2 settlement applications. It is beginning to seem likely that these will be announced at short notice, probably to avoid encouraging applications under the existing rules. Consider yourselves warned."

No, I mean does he need to be in the Country for a certain number of days before he could apply for a Provisional Licenece??? (Is it 185 days, for example you have to be a resident in the Country?) How does it work?

Somebody please clarify thanks!

He can apply for a provisional license straight away. There is no waiting period as long as he he is lawfully resident here.

Hunny2010 as many people have said before they DO NOTgive visa in 22 days to ALL applicants, perhaps a few got lucky and got it in the 22 days.

I was called on my 22nd days of waiting and they ask me about my occupation is that mean that i am in the 22days policy. and is there someone else that is being called by ECO.

hamid1991 - there is no "POLICY" stating 22 days......You were given a call to verify information. Shortly after you will recieve a call to say ready for collection. Once you have collected hopefully it will say visa granted and passport will be stamped.

I know everyone is keen to hear something and when your told XYZ days you look forward to that, but in all honesty you just need to be patient and have faith and pray that everything goes well and you have a speedy response. There are no set rules, even the most perfect application can hear back very late.

Regarding passports ready for collection after recieving the call in letter at the moment it is taking at least a month to recieve them back after you have submitted.

InshAllah all of you who are waiting will hear some good news soon.

Salaams

My husband has now passed his english and got his certificates, he will be submitting the visa in a few days, but i have a few questions?

1. My sponsorship was certified and signed in december by a solicitor, will that be fine?

2. My last wage slip that I sent was last dated 02/02/2012, will I need to send more?

3. My last bank statement was dated Decemeber, my January statement came a little late so couldnt send it to Pakistan with my Grandma when she went, will I need to send the January one? And I wont recieve my feburary one until March 11.

4. Its April next month, and I really need to get it to be submitted asap bcos of the income change that may come into power.

Jazakallah for taking your time to reading and taking your time to reply.

The last few months have been very difficult between me and my husband but Alhamdulillah we are still standing as one.

Hi *Nazia

As a general rule nothing should be older then a month of the date of submitting the application i.e. bank statement, wage slips etc.

Sponsorship letter - Its not mandatory to certify your Sponsorship letter, however I also certified it by a solicitor as well. I think certified copies are usually valid upto three months.

Hope this helps.

Hi, I didnt know I was missed lol

He did the TOEIC, at SLS College Jhelum, the certicates come a few days after you get your results and that itself can take upto 2-3weeks and then couple days later you will recieve the certificates.

I pray he passes first time round because I was speaking to the Principal of the College and he said that they are making the tests harder very soon and in other words it will be really hard to pass first time round if they dont already have some sort of understanding of the English Language. I am in no way trying to scare you but thought I would share this with you as they are making things even harder, which just isnt fair!

@ Naila sis, sorry I havent been commenting on this thread but I have been reading through everyones post as usual, I didnt have anything to say so I just remained quite, but now Alhmadulillah we are getting somewhere with our visa, it has been very stressful few months but now insha'Allah all I can do is pray that Allah ta'aala makes it easy for us and ALL the members on here that may you all hear some positive news soon.

Verily, in the rememberence of Allah, does heart find peace (Al-Qur'an) and also remember that Allah ta'aala does not burden His servents more than thery can handle.
