Hey reggie I think Lahore are ahead of the rest of the visa centers as usual. Where did you apply from? I applied from Islamabad and I got a reply saying delayed whilst further enquiries are being conducted on the 22nd December then I received a response in progress. Whats your latest status?

Hey,

My wife applied from Karachi, to be honest i was told not to rely on the status updates so i only done 1 which was a month ago and it stated that the couldnt locate my application or that it hasnt been reviewed by the ECO. As if they want to contact they will so i kind of left it to that. I guess our applications are getting close although i wasnt expecting people would hear anything before 5th Jan, it seems like UKVI were working over xmas and new year, at this rate we should hear something next week inshallah.

Yeah inshallah I hope we hear next week or within this month. Keep me updated :)

Hi guys

I finally asked for an update on our visa .. I got this response

Thank you for contacting the United Kingdom Visas and Immigration
International Enquiry Service.

Please be advised, your case has been escalated to the relevant department
for an update. As soon as we get a response we will update you accordingly.

For any further details, or should you need to contact us again please
refer to our website at https://ukvi-international.faq-help.com/, select
appropriate country, click next and then select 'E-Mail form' and complete
as instructed. We will aim to come back to you within 1 day.

What does this mean? 'your case has been escalated to the relevant department
for an update.' And how long should I wait for them to get back in touch with me?

Anyone received this email before?

I didn't email or telephone for an update. I thought it best to not bother them.
The only update I got was the standard template five days after it was submitted.

Here it is: (I'm guessing you got the same thing?)

Code: Select all

Update on your UK visa application - ############

Dear Customer,

PLEASE DO NOT REPLY TO THIS MESSAGE. THIS MAILBOX IS NOT MONITORED.

This email is to notify you that your UK visa application has been received at the British High Commission Islamabad and will now be prepared for assessment by an Entry Clearance Officer.

Although our published service standards say that we will process settlement applications within 12 weeks, we are currently not meeting our service standards in this area and your application will therefore take longer to process. We are currently processing settlement applications within approximately 36 weeks.

Please note: We strongly recommend that you do not book a flight to the UK until your visa application has been approved and you have collected your passport. We do not accept responsibility for any financial loss incurred as a result of delays in processing applications and we will not fast-track applications solely because of travel plans.

Once a decision has been made on your application we will email you to let you know. You will then be contacted by the Visa Application Centre with instructions on how to collect your documents. Please do not go to the Visa Application Centre before they have contacted you.

In some circumstances, applications require further assessment which can take longer than our published customer service standards. If your application is going to take longer than expected we will let you know.

We would be grateful if you could keep your correspondence to a minimum during the consideration process. If however you need to contact us or would like to track the progress of your application, you can do so via our International Enquiry Service at www.gov.uk/contact-ukvi-outside-uk

Kind regards,

UK Visas and Immigration

If British High Commission accepted wedding videos that would be amazing, they could watch my 8 hour long wedding film and fast forward on all the different days and the thousand of people that came and see its a genuine marriage. Surely videos show more proof then pictures lol well not in all cases but yh :/

I enquired about the status yesterday and received a reply today!!

'We understand that you would like to know about the current status of your
visa application. I have tracked the status and date of birth and found that the application has been processed and it should
be with you in the next few days.'

What does this mean?!
I've not received any emails from the bhc yet.
