Re: Successful applications sent in march

Post by kimichi-5 » Sun Jun 19, 2011 10:15 am

Hi Masti11, Many congradulation for getting your PR! I sent in my application on 25th of March, still waiting. When did you receive the acknowledgment letter? and how soon did they take the money from you account? Because for my case, it took them 5 weeks to send me the letter, and 6 weeks to take my money. I am really worry that it will be 5 week + another 13 weeks like your case.....please let me know more detail about your case, thank you.

I have applied for ILR on 10 years category and sent my application on 7 March 2011.

I noticed some of the members have replied as successful for applications sent in march.

Anyone still waiting to hear from UKBA as myself for the applications sent in march 2011??

And also it would be very supportive if the timescales for any more successful applications sent in March 2011 are listed in this forum
I have received my passport today with ILR stamped on 1 June 2011. They took around 13 weeks to process. Good luck to everyone else waiting.

One more thing, UKBA has completely ignored my special delivery envolope sent with the application for the return of my docs and sent the passport back through second class recorded delivery.

14 weeks wait v.s Urgent travel plan

Post by kimichi-5 » Sun Jun 19, 2011 11:28 am

Dear all,

I really hope someone could help on advising me on this, please.....
As I have a very important urgent travel plan for my business on 15th of July, and still haven't heard back from OH since I applied my 10 year ILR on 25th of March.

Applied on 25th of March
Acknowledgment letter dated 3rd of May
Cheque cleared 9th of May. ( I believe cheque was where problem was causing delay...)

My case is not 100% straight forward, as I had 26 days over the total 540 days due to attending a funeral of a closed relative. Please advice me what is the best for me to do regarding my questions below, so I don't raise the chance that they will refuse my application.

I have read somewhere you could contact HO to ask about the progress of your application if you don't hear a response after 14 week ( 1st of July is the date for my case).

My questions are:

"Is calling HO after 14 weeks to ask about the progress of your application same as asking to consider application urgently for urgent travel plan?", " If not, what are the difference?"

"Does requesting urgent application may effect their decision on the case?"

"Should I wait until 14 weeks and then request urgent consideration for my application? "

"How long it will take to receive my passport back after I request the urgent consideration for my application?"

Thank you very much for your help in advance.

I apologize if it my questions belong to a different topic, as I couldn't find it anywhere, really hope someone could help, thank you again.

I sent my 10 years long residence case on 29-04-2011, received by UKBA on 03-05-2011. Payment taken 07-05-2011, have also received ack letter and now waiting....

I was very surprised to receive my passport back from the HO yesterday with the ILR stamp inside.

If I am right, lots of people applied before me and apparently have not yet got a reply from UKBA. This is very frustrating. I wish them all the best and hope they get a positive reply soon.

From my personal experience I would like to urge all those who have received their passport from HO to update the thread.

the details of the application is as follows:

Residence: 10 years stay all on student visa
Application sent 19 April 2011
received: 20 April 2011
Money taken : 27 April 2011
Acknowledgement letter: 02 May dated 27/04/11
Passport stamped: 10/06/2011
Received : 23/06/11 at 1pm

The application was straightforward.

This forum has been very informative for me and I would like to thank all those who manage to use a chunck of their time to help others.

It took approximately 10 weeks and 8 weeks respectively from date of sending the application to date of return of passport and stamping the passport.

I just hope some who applied in Avril have got their application approved and will receive their passport soon.

Hi Ansyl,

So many congradulations!

You result really gave me some hope for my long wait!

I posted 25th of March, and with strange long delay, only just got my acknoledgment letter on 9th of May (dated 3rd of May).

3rd of May is a week later then your 27th of April, I am feeling hopeful that HO might be looking at my application now, or it might be even on its way to me!!!

One more question please, did you get any separate letter from HO confirming successful application before receiving your passport yesterday?

Many thanks for your posting, I am feeling 300% more positive than before hearing your good news!

ILR on long term residence

Post by niazacca » Mon Jun 27, 2011 9:46 am

Dear All

I posted on 23rd May and got a acknowledgment on 26th May but no money deducted yet, my cards details are correct too but don't understand why no money have been taken yet.

Is there anyone else in the same situation please reply this forum is great to share the info. Also looks like HO is taking about 8 weeks ( or more) at present to deal with the applications.

Thanks

Hi Niaz,

If you have received the acknowledgement letter then you don't need to worry about it.

Through this forum, I have learnt that UKBA have contracted with some company to charge for the applications on their behalf so it will take about 4 to 5 weeks just to process the fees which is really sad.

I can understand your frustration but there is nothing you can do about it. All I can say is that be patient and be positive.

Thanks and regards

Hi niazacca

I agree with Mazhar on 4-5 weeks payment time scale.

I've recently experienced the same when I requested for my SAR file, I received the acknowledgement letter in first week of sending the request but the payment taken from my account was after 3 weeks.

Good luck mate.

Hi everyone,

Please see the details of my application below:
Application type: 10 years long residence (Student)

Applied SAR file:10 Feb 2011
Received SAR file :19 Apr 2011

Application sent: 09 May 2011
Payment taken: 17May 2011
Acknowledgement letter: 13 May 2011
Passport stamped: 21 June 2011 (Liverpool)
Received : 29 June 2011

I had a student visa refusal once during my 10 years stay. I left UK before my appeal right was exhausted. Then I made a fresh student visa application in my country and came back to UK after 4 months.

It took more time for me to receive SAR file than ILR application process..
I didn't use any lawyer but this board saved my life! Thank you so much!

Good Luck Everyone!

Hi All

Posted my 10 years SET(O) today along with my wife's FLR(M).

Background

Arrived in UK on 11.08.01 – Completing 10 years on 11.08.11 – Current LTR is expiring on 31.07.11 – Applying within 28 days before my 10th Anniversary (Covered in 2.2.7 Early Applications).

SAR requested in April and received in June.

No Gaps – Total Time outside UK in 10 years: less than 90 days – No Criminal Convictions or traffic offence - 5 years spent as student and 5 as student dependant.

Docs included with SET(O):

- SET(O) Application form (05/2011 version)
- Application fee of £972 (Banker’s Draft)
- 2 Photographs
- LITUK Test Pass Letter
- 3 Passports (current and 2 old ones)
- 5 P60s (not mandatory)
- 5 Payslips showing annual salary of £30,000 (not mandatory)
- 3 Bank Statements (not mandatory)
- Most recent CRB disclosure obtained through employer (not mandatory)
- Copies of all the above documents
- A covering letter

As there's no provision for dependants to apply for ILR under the Long Residency Rule therefore used FLR(M) to apply for two-year spouse visa for my wife.

Docs included with wife’s FLR(M):

- FLR(M) Application form (04/2011 version)
- Application fee of £550 (Banker’s Draft)
- 2 Photographs of wife
- 1 photography of myself
- 2 Passports (current and old)
- Marriage Certificate (Original Translated in English) although it was already provided in previous LTR applications.
- Wife’s Masters degree obtained from UK University (for English Language condition)
- Coloured photocopies of my 3 passports (coloured was my own preference)
- Copy of my SET(O) form (with a ‘COPY’ and ‘For Reference Only’ watermark)
- 3 Bank Statements in wife’s name
- 3 Bank Statements in my name
- 3 monthly payslips (Wife) part time job at the uni.
- 3 monthly payslips (mine) full time employment.
- Letter from University confirming wife’s PhD final year
- 25 different documents as Proof of Cohabitation (2008-11) including Hospital Letters, Bank Letters, Tenancy Agreements, HMRC letters etc etc.
- A covering letter requesting to hold decision on my wife’s application till they decide on my ILR application.

Both DIY applications with the help of this great forum.

Waiting starts from today…………………………………….

Good Luck to those who are waiting and/or going to apply in future.

No, I haven't ... :(
Nearly 14 weeks now since application received by HO, still waiting and hope it will arrive this week.

Also next week 26th of July is my after 14 weeks, does anyone know if call HO after 14 weeks, could it effect negatively their decision on my application?

As I had 22 days over the limit due to attending a funeral (27 days trip) ,
Any advise would be appriciated, thank you.
