Ash,

All d best for u. One small doubt as u would be applying in TIER1 . Is an exam became manditory for the english requirement or even certificate from college goes under the new scheme . This is for my friend who would be applying in TIER1. In case u get to know please post a reply over here.

Hi Vishnu,

If you check the points calculator, it allows for only English medium certificate as a criteria. it does not ask for the test info.

based on that i guess that english test is not required.

Am I required to apply on Tier1 ? I am an HSMP Dependant.. if the main applicant is not on Tier -1 can the dependant be on tier1 ?

Hi Guyz..

I applied for EC on 31-Mar-08. Got verification call from Integra yesterday. Strange thing was d call was from Pakistan.. the ISD code was +92 followed by other nos.. and the person whom I spoke to emailed me to my ID as she wanted to get some info.. it was stated as "Integra Screening Pak Pvt (ltd)...

Has anyone got integra call from Pakistan..???

Did you get the call? Integra never calls the candidate, most cases they call HR/Board to confirm your employment details.

Hi chandra,

I work in chennai office and i never knew when my integra was completed. Infact i asked my HR every week to get confirmed about the integra and they havent recieved any call.I didnt even recieve any call to my office number also. I already had got my visa. Perhaps Integra might have been done in my other offices gurgaon or bangalore.So in case your working in a big firm i think you need not worry about it.

Hi Ash,

Well you are right. I was missing that you are applying as a HSMP dependent. But post APR1st , there are many changes. so better make sure any changes are there or it is the same.All d best.

Hi Ash,

My husband applied from VFS Bangalore on March 17th for HSMP dependent visa. Im in Uk since past 5 months, i provided all the documents to my husband(accomdation, payslips, offer, bank stmt) etc.., but till now we dont know the status on my husband's visa. im getting worried. howmuch time does it take?

it takes around 20 working days. dont' get worried. there are lot of applicaitons going in to chennai bhc.. hence they take time compared to other consulates.

they said the "the application received in BDHC,Chennai on 12-Mar-2008.
(but submitted to VFS,Hyderbad on 07-Mar-2008)
Asked me to call again after 14-Apr-2008 to get the status.
