I have downloaded the consent form, it has 3 parts. First 2 parts are relevant but 3rd part is "Consent for the home office to verify information from third party sponsor".. At the end it requires name and address of financial sponsor.

What ia this about please? Should I sign it as I am financially independent? Please guide

Indicate N/A or Not Applicable for 3rf parts as it does not apply to you.

Hello there, I have 2 questions.

1. Can someone apply for permanent job on Spouse Visa?

2. Can time spent on "Student + Spouse" visa be accumulated to be eligible for ILR?

thanks. :)

1. Yes.

2. No, unless the spouse reaches 10 years long residence, only then can different visas be combined. They cannot be combined for ilr based on 5 years residence.

The immigration rules state it clearly, 60 months on a spouse visa under Appendix FM before ilr can be applied for.

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/immigration ... ly-members
Section E-ILRP: Eligibility for indefinite leave to remain as a partner
E-ILRP.1.1. To meet the eligibility requirements for indefinite leave to remain as a partner all of the requirements of paragraphs E-ILRP.1.2. to 1.6. must be met.

E-ILRP.1.2. The applicant must be in the UK with valid leave to remain as a partner under this Appendix (except that, where paragraph 39E of these Rules applies, any current period of overstaying will be disregarded).

E-ILRP.1.3. (1) Subject to sub-paragraph (2), the applicant must, at the date of application, have completed a continuous period of either:

(a) at least 60 months in the UK with:
(i) leave to enter granted on the basis of entry clearance as a partner granted under paragraph D-ECP.1.1.; or
(ii) limited leave to remain as a partner granted under paragraph D-LTRP.1.1.; or
(iii) a combination of (i) and (ii);

A spouse visa holder is free to work in the UK for any employer. This has already been the case.

https://www.gov.uk/uk-family-visa/after-you-apply
If your application is approved
You’ll get a biometric residence permit.

You can:

work
study

Sorry I have a question.

I provided my application reference number to my employer and continued working as my visa decision is still pending.

In case my visa gets rejected, what would I have to do then? Would I have to stop working immediately, go for appeal and then start working again?

Can you please provide more information on this please.

I have a question.

I started working part time when I opted for thesis resubmission back in November. I applied for spouse Visa in December, my student visa expired on 7th jan. I had provided my application reference nunber to my employer due to which I carried on working part time.

As I have resubmitted my thesis in end of January, can I go back to full time or not?

Please answer.

Hello there,

Thanks to everyone whoever helped me through this period.

I had my Biometrics on 13th of January and today I received the decision in my favour. Took 8 weeks only.

Wouldn't have been possible without this forum.

Thank you. :)
