Well, it took 3 weeks for mine to come (counting after the day I sent the affidavit), so stay tuned.

Similar situation, got approval letter last February 2020 and paid fee. Missed out on ceremony and then Covid struck. Still waiting for the email regarding affidavit.loyaleyz wrote: ↑Wed Feb 03, 2021 1:33 amHi Everyone, anongirl wrote: ↑Sun Jan 31, 2021 8:22 amAnyone here who got approved and paid the fee in jan/feb 2020 still waiting on affidavit to be emailed to them like myself :/ ?
I know they said “phased” basis but it’s disheartening to see that there is no order to this at all when people only newly approved since October have started receiving theirs. Happy for everyone who does, just sucks waiting so long and nothing still...
Yes I got approval letter back in February 2020. I submitted €950 photographs and Garda card, but still waiting for affidavit since. Is anyone else waiting same time.
I would email them and state all that and also the fact that people who only paid recently have also received affidavits. That was what I did and their response was we already sent you your email but will paste again here for you. Now I now for a fact no email was sent to me originally as I was checking my emails every day since the announcement. My guess is they may have not sent it correctly or even to wrong email. There is no harm asking them again as they may realise their mistake. That’s what happened for me anyway and I got the affidavit quite swiftly after thatSuperyellowox wrote: ↑Mon Feb 22, 2021 7:19 pmSimilar situation, got approval letter last February 2020 and paid fee. I sent my affidavit on the 29th Jan 2021 and it arrived to them on 1st Feb 2021, I receivedthe certificate today, 23rd Feb 2021Winchester wrote: ↑Tue Feb 23, 2021 10:05 amCongratulations
When did you send the affidavit? And what is the date of the certificate?
yeah, it looks like it will be accepting docs starting from L4 and minimum processing time will be 8 weeks after it opens.
If you book it for end of September, you should be grand
Hi Kalyna, I am in the same situation re: witnessing the declaration in the north. Would you mind to please update if/when you hear anything back so I know whether a northern solicitor is acceptable as a witness or if I need to make arrangements to go south (we are a few hours drive from the border and this is especially difficult during lockdown). If anyone has had their declaration approved or rejected with a northern witness could you please update here. Very much appreciated.kalyna wrote: ↑Sat Feb 20, 2021 2:53 pmI am still waiting for the certificate (received the email with an affidavit on 20/01 and my signed declaration was delivered on 27/01). I think my issue is that my declaration was witnessed in NI by a NI solicitor (my best shot in the lockdown conditions). I sent them an email asking if there is an issue with my declaration and received a copy-paste reply "wait 6 weeks, then contact us".
Still nothing unfortunately. I will wait until 6 weeks expires for an official verdict and after that will be aiming to go to Dundalk, sometime in April I guess, hopefully restrictions on both sides will be eased. Would be great to know if Garda are patrolling the crossing from NI to the Republic, I would not want to be stopped to be honest.nordieapp wrote: ↑Mon Mar 01, 2021 1:48 pmHi Kalyna, I am in the same situation re: witnessing the declaration in the north. Pls when did you apply?chai wrote: ↑Wed Mar 03, 2021 9:31 pmHi everyone, I received my approval and request for declaration letter via post (not received any emails) today. The last letter I received was a second stage letter on November 2019. I think it's a sign of a new batch of approvals and hope that there'll be more people getting their approvals/affidavits soon.

Thank you. I applied in March of 2020, but only received my passports back in August (five months later!), and got my second stage letter in December.johnpromise01 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 06, 2021 3:05 pmI note that you applied in March 2020? You're so lucky. I applied in February 2020 and got second letter in 2020. Fingers crossed.. Congratulations
Ok. How exactly does the good character check is specified in the letter?Vorona wrote: ↑Sat Mar 06, 2021 3:12 pmThank you. By the way I can confirm that the second stage letter does not need to have a phrase "moved to the second stage" as some people have suggested. Mine does not have such wording. As long as the good character check is specified in the letter, it is a second stage letter.
And the second letter I received in June 2020 after acknowledgement, it stated: ''Your application has now been initially assessed and has proceeded to the second stage of processing''Vorona wrote: ↑Sat Mar 06, 2021 3:12 pmThank you.
