We (1pm attendees) got ours last week; I'd say yours should be out in another week or two (hopefully).
When was this announced ? its not on the website yet and they advised today that ceremony dates have not been confirmed ?
From his timeline post looks like he applied in Jan 2023
The making people continue to wait is the worst part of this entire process.wilj011195 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 13, 2023 10:42 amIt is just frustrating, I applied as refugee and of course I do not have my passport or any travel document, I only need that cert to get the Irish passport and I can finally be able to travel! I applied in Nov 2021, attended ceremony in Oct 2nd and it is just outrageous having to wait this long for that cert! I got onto nearly all my local TD and they keep giving the same answer, I have my solicitor pushing at the same time and still not response, I even submitted a FOI and not success with that either, this process has been the most horrible experience I have been through in my life! sorry about the rant but I don't know what else to do!
has it got anything to do with the address? or location? r you both based out of Dublin or in other cities?
I live in Dublin 6 and a friend of mine attended the ceremony at the same time and he got his certificate last Monday and he also lives in Dublin, and I need attend a very important meeting in UK by end of this month so I have no legal traval document, I may cancel the meeting because of it... very frustrating
You will have to, I'm afraid - first time passport takes about a month and I have doubts airlines will accept naturalization cert as a travel documentSamBai wrote: ↑Thu Nov 16, 2023 4:35 pmI live in Dublin 6 and a friend of mine attended the ceremony at the same time and he got his certificate last Monday and he also lives in Dublin, and I need attend a very important meeting in UK by end of this month so I have no legal traval document, I may cancel the meeting because of it... very frustrating
yes, I have no other choices. just no where and no one can tell when can receive the cert, only keep waiting stupidly...meself2 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 16, 2023 4:41 pmYou will have to, I'm afraid - first time passport takes about a month and I have doubts airlines will accept naturalization cert as a travel documentSamBai wrote: ↑Thu Nov 16, 2023 4:35 pmI live in Dublin 6 and a friend of mine attended the ceremony at the same time and he got his certificate last Monday and he also lives in Dublin, and I need attend a very important meeting in UK by end of this month so I have no legal traval document, I may cancel the meeting because of it... very frustrating
It's been 7 weeks now...lukk wrote: ↑Fri Nov 17, 2023 9:36 amBased in North County Dublin. perhaps the location indeed plays a role. very disappointing - it's been 6 weeks now since the ceremony.
- no confirmation and tracking until you receive itBluebird71 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 17, 2023 10:25 ami have a question for the certificate do you get sent confirmation from either the post office or the tracking number from the department of when the certificate goes out so we know when to expect it ? And if you are not there do they give it to someone else on your behalf ?
Thank you do they tell you that they are holding it ?meself2 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 17, 2023 11:22 am- no confirmation and tracking until you receive itBluebird71 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 17, 2023 10:25 ami have a question for the certificate do you get sent confirmation from either the post office or the tracking number from the department of when the certificate goes out so we know when to expect it ? - depends on your postman. Mine shoved my cert in the postbox, but technically if you're not there they return it to storage facility and hold it for 3 days; after 3 days they send it back to ISD.
An Post will throw a "we missed you" card into your mailbox, as they do with all mail, but that'll be it - won't be any online notification or anything.Bluebird71 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 17, 2023 1:23 pmThank you do they tell you that they are holding it ?meself2 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 17, 2023 11:22 am- no confirmation and tracking until you receive itBluebird71 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 17, 2023 10:25 ami have a question for the certificate do you get sent confirmation from either the post office or the tracking number from the department of when the certificate goes out so we know when to expect it ? They're already getting ready for the next ceremony. You should be asking questions about it, either by yourself or via your MP.
