Status updated this morning to " Your application is ready for collection; please visit the UK Visa Application Centre where you submitted your visa application to collect the same" Not in Kyiv right now so going to phone up to see if this means successful or unsuccessful...

HSMP to Tier 1 Extention application

Post by jammysingh » Tue May 12, 2009 12:22 pm

Hi Guys,

I had posted my extention application(HSMP -> Tier1) on 28th March. I contacted the homeoffice today The status is "awaiting consideration".

Has anyone submitted their application around same date?

The homeoffice website says they are currently considering the applications recieved on or before 31st March but my application is still awaiting consideration. Any idea what could be the reason?

Thanks

yes zeevirgo, we can just wait and hope for good. But it is confusing why the status is "awaiting Consideration" atleast it shoud change to "under consideration" by now.As in case of both of us its more than 6 weeks now.

Hi All

WP to Tier 1 (G)
Applied on 27 March 2009
Reached HO 28 March 2009
Money deducted 28 March 2009(used postall order 250pounds x 3)
Reference letter 30 March 2009
Rang today 12 May 2009 and they say application dispatched.

I asked them about the result & they told they cannot tell me that bcoz it doesnt show up there.

I am just waiting for the post fingers crossed.

I think they will send it using royal mail recorded delivery as i did not arrange any courier.

At what time will the mail arrive usually i mean time frame.

Will update the results when i get the POST.

Thanx & Regards

i had submitted 2 different sources - now i am thinking that I have not paid my council tax and that might be the reason - normally the status goes from under consideration to awaiting further consideration and then under consideration again - I dont know y my case never went to under further consideration!

No council tax shouldnt matter. Even the status info they provide on the phone is always confusing. Dont worry you might have got the visa.

shubhan what were you timelines? When did you apply?

12 payslips and a letter from my employer confirming the amount - I didn't realise you needed 2 separate sources. I've only known just found out that a P60 is also the same 'source', so 3 of the tick box options are actually all the same source - makes it quite confusing.

I have 12 months worth of bank statements (that correlate with everything) I could send in straight away, in my appeal, but I'm not sure if they will accept 'new' information.

So despite the fact that I'm didn't do anything wrong as such, and I have all the approriate evidence ready to go, I may not be allowed to get my extension. £750 down the drain and will need to leave the country pretty soon if all fails.

So sad to hear. As per the rules they wont accept the new evidence. But i think there is no harm in sending your bank statements in your appeal.Write a convincing letter.

Take the photocopy of all the documents before posting.

And make sure you get all your documents back after the appeal.

They wouldn't tell me but I have also asked via email (no response yet). Did anyone else get this same status and if so were you successful or unsuccessful? Does everyone get this status message regardless of outcome?
