The appeal letter did come back from islamabad so it must go back there.He handed in the application on the 13th of Jan 2012, refusal and collection of passport was 30th March and i sent the appeal on 19th April I have not had an acknolegment letter yet I thought I would give them another week.

The decision was only 2 lines it looked very simple and it also stated on the letter that they strongly advise me to send all relevent documents as this matter could be resolved without going into appeal hearing so I was unde the impression that they realise he has just given the wrong date so i have written and corrected all the misunderstand.

I will see what is written in my ack letter and see what my dead line is then i will go see my Local mp...hopefully he will help and still be in a good mood after winning the local elections

I did resend nikkah nama also pic of the ruksati and explained that this date was give in error as the ruksati is always done anytime after the nikkah.
I sent scan pics a letter from doctor stating im stressed
i sent the empty box of sleeping pills that the doctor recommended me.
I also have a daughter from my previous marriage so i wrote about me and her and how i lived alone 9 years working and looking after her and now my new family life has been taking away from both of us.

My hubby wrote explaining his mistake and apologising for the confusion then also that he needs and his desire to support his wife in the difficult time.
Im hoping he or she has a heart i am not young now and having a baby at this age is so much different than when your in your 20's

ladies... thank you so much, I have been watching this forum for a while and i realise that you are all in one way or another in the same situation.
When i was little i thought id have a great marriage ect ect..... first one was awful the only good thing was my daughter from that. Then 9 years later i took the risk but married a pakistani born man he was fantastic and still is. Just everything happened so quick my marriage and then falling pregnant then having to send him back as the solicitors messed up all the case. I just wish this is all over soon or time passes by quick to be honest 6 months have gone quick and im sure time will go quick and before i know it, it will be all over.
Just hate being a burden on my parents. I wish Allah just listen to our prays and our lives will begin as we mean to go on inshallah

New here and have a feeling I will be spending a lot of time on this board for the foreseeable future.

Having done my nikah last month, I am now in process of helping my wife put together her application. I have spent a fair bit of time researching the process online and have started reading all posts in this thread from start of 2012 (only got upto end of Jan so far).

I am currently compiling an ehaustive list of documents I need to get ready. If anybody can answer a couple of questions, it would be most helpful.

(1) How do Gerrys normally accept the documents? Ideally I would have had a big folder with as many plastic wallets as I needed but have a feeling that would cause inconvenience. I would like to minimise the chances of them messing up the order and presentation.

(2) I currently share a flat in Bristol where I work but that contract runs out in mid-Sept. I intend to rent a one-bed flat from August onwards but will not be able to provide details of that at time of application. Would it be adequate to explain the situation while providing current tenancy agreement/bills as well as a letter from parents saying that my wife can stay at our family home temporarily, if required?

Just a bit of background:
- We were engaged for over a year during which period we stayed in regular contact.
- Did nikah last month and rukhsati planned for summer. (is it best to be transparent about this?)
- I am an employed graduate engineer earning more than the proposed revised threshold, have never sought any benefits and despite not having substantial savings manage finances comfortably.

hi and welcome I have just joined myself. Inshallah everything will be ok.

Right firstly i would not worry about plastic folders ect this may be a little annoying for them. if you look at past post they have mentioned everything you may need. Always remember everyone's case is different.

The living arrangements may let you down as they like to see that you have some where for your partner, I think if that was me i may just ask my parents to write a letter and say that i am moving back with them just to sound more secure.
Dont go by what i say wait for the other members to advise im sure someone else has been in the same situation

Just tell you partner to make a photocopy of everything you send and make sure anything like a copy of your passport is atested by a solicitor and make sure u have a sponser letter too.
