Application returned to embassy
And honestly ppl I haven't been smoking anything
Maybe I am just special and thy wana make sure my passport didnt get any spots or it didn't get man handled

Did you ask gerrys why it has been returned as yesterday it was ready for collection.

has anybody applied showing statements where they were using their overdraft regularly?

the six months i will submit will be quite irregular due to the fact that i have been spending on wedding and also living abroad on company secondment.

i can do a budget table and show clearly that my expenses are much less than my income but do not have savings to show for this at the moment.

AOA r4sh1d,

as long as you explain your wedding expenses and that there will be savings to support your spouse, the ECO will be looking to ensure you do not have a need to have recourse to public funds.

Currently you need to have £110.95 per week after housing costs + council tax payments to show in your monthly budget plan.

After June it will be salary of £25,700 required by sponsor and NO savings to be taken into consideration.

Thank you for the advice. Will apply post-june and the income only criteria actually suits me better. My salary is greater than that and I can show a realistic budget that shows we can live comfortably on that but have no significant savings.

have you tried ringing gerrys on the 0870number?? will they be the same as pak or different...cuz why would they tell you its ready to collect if they were going to send it back to the embassy?? you cant even ring abu dhabi until sunday now, but stay patient and inshallah it will all get sorted

Its really strange to say the least, why would they send it back to the embassy....

Maybe they are going to undergo more checks but still i don't quite get it.

Im hoping this is not a new trend for them now.

Hi im malboro's wife salaam all

my hubby was supposed to collect his visa today..he went to gerrys and was told the same as it seems many people have been told..his passport has been returned to the british embassy. i contacted our local mp here and she said they have requested many passports back due to security checks...apparently if decisions have already been made, they will not be changed but they wanna carry out some security checks or something? I dunno its so confusing its felt like forever since we submitted our application. InshAllah we should all hear something soon,,and Allah swt is with the patient. There is a reason for everything and we cannot always see that but Allah swt knows best. Alhumdulillah,

That after applying for a settlement visa,can the sponsor stay in pak with her husband till they dont get a response e.g.visa granted or refused??

Even if it takes 3 months for the entire process or will that affect the application as the sponsor will be off work??

if the sponsors off work will there be a wage coming in? what if they ring the employer and get told the person is not there? you have to take these things into consideration...a

The employer is family,also when applying sponsor declared she will be in pak on paid leave an then will return after a month,however she decided to stay there till she gets a response but now is on unpaid leave.will that be a problem??can they check with the bank if there is still income coming in.also when applied she had 4thousand pounds in her acc and also showed 3months wage coming in on her statements.

i think it would be best to ask a proffesional but i think that as she mentioned that she wull stay for a month on paid leave they might just check that up..and if she still in pak then i think theu might get a little suspicious as no employer will be that generous to give 3months paid leave..and the fact that shes working for family might bring them to question the wage slips and stuff?? do u get me?? you never no what kind of person is processing your application it can be someone that wont pick up on these things or it can be someone that goes through every little detail

what's the point of checking them again?

Hi all

My appeal hearing was on the 4th of April 2012, which got accepted and my solicitor received the determination today, dated 09 May2012. Could some tell me what to do i do from here and what is the set time frame for what ever comes next.

i used this forum through out for my application and then appeal and must say that at present the whole thread is more of a chat room or a countdown to every1s applications, ...a humble request to the mod and the members to kindly keep it down with the nagging. No disrespect to anyone .. Only appealing to make this forum more informative than speculative.
