Hi Pub,

This is not based on demand. it is as per case

It is very unfortunate because your ILR application will get delayd for that time.

In itaza's case he will apply for his ILR in dec instead of July while his initial approval was in july.

I hope this will help you.

My initial visa was going to expire on 4th July 2004. I was granted 3.5 years extension not 3 years. The reason for this is that I got my initial visa on 4th July 2007 but I came to the UK in December 2007. So they have given me a Visa till December 2012.
Congrats on your Visa approval!!

I wanted to know,if you had put in a request for Visa extended till December 2012,in a cover letter.Or is it that, they just saw your case and stamped till December. I'm in a similar situation, but I haven't requested for this in the cover letter.

Does anyone have any advice on this? A friend is in a dilemna and does not know what to do. What happens when checks are made and previous employer acknowledges that you worked with them but do not confirm your earnings and generally give a bad reference?
How do you prove your case in appeal?

I thought it is illegal in this country for someone to give you a bad ref!
Thats a fact.

Well, this has happened! The main issue now is to prove in an appeal since employer has refused verification???????????/

I didn't ask for it and it s not "unfortunate" that I got the visa for 3.5 years instead of 3. In fact I was pleasantly surprised because if I had gotten the extension for 3 yrs only then at the end of the 3 years my total stay in the UK would have been 4 years and 6 months, not 5 years required for the ILR.

hi irtaza.

I didn't mean you're unfortunate. its for all of us.This is the way the system plays with us.

Technically as per you application you should be allowed to get you're ILR by July but now you'll have to apply by dec. here we all are unfortunate as we paid the fees and was liable to get the ILR as per intital date of approval b'cause we can stay 180 days away from UK out of 5 yrs. requirement for ILR

By the way congrats once again for your visa

Hello All,

My VISA (Tier 1 General- applied on 09th march 2009) was rejected on 25th march 2009 based on the general grounds . My maintenance fund bank statement was an internet download by the bank itself (ING VYSYA) but well attested with their seal and sign. No letter was provided as the statement was well attested. Unfortunately it was rejected.

Now the admin review process was ignited on 17th APRIL 2009. But till date there is no reply from the BHC chennai. As per the UKBA rules it is supposed to be completed in 28 days but I am waiting since more than 2 months now .

Please let me know the process times and the chances of my review success.

Bharath.

Approved Details

Post by mohammedsiddiqui » Wed Jul 01, 2009 12:11 am

Hi Immigration Board members

Thank you so much for this forum.

I always used to go through the forum everyday from last two months.

I got my Tier 1 General Visa ( Details Given Below )

Visa Type - PSW To Tier 1 General
Documents Sent - 16 June 2009
Money Deducted - 17 June 2009
Reference Letter Dated - 18 June 2009
Visa Approved and Documents Returned - 30 June 2009
Visa Date - Valid upto 26 June 2012

14 Days only.

Thank you God for this.

May be i'm thinking all people are now going directly for premium service and the case workers are free from work.

It all depends on the day you apply. Because we never knew when they gonna change the rules.

My advice to the members, please make use of all relevant topics before you apply for your visa

All the Best and my sincere support to this forum

with warm regards

Latest Processing time

Siddiqui is probably right - all are heading for premium service and normal postal service has become faster. Very fast infact... Kudos to Home Office. here are my details

Change from WP to Tier 1 (General)
Application sent on 20-June-09
Application Recieved 23-June-09
Payment taken: 23-June-09
Approval date & Visa : 29-June-09
Documents received 01-July-09

Visa granted for usual 3 years.

All done within 5 working days.... isn't that lovely.

I guess if your paper work is correct and you provide all information as requested - it moves fast. I didn't go through any lawyers as I thought the Home Office Guidance made it sufficiently clear as to what documentation is required. But most importantly, I must thanks all the members who post in this board and provide guidance to all others who apply. Very good and constructive knowledge sharing.

Best wishes to all others...

Cheers

My Tier one time line

Post by b52 » Sat Jul 04, 2009 2:13 am

From PSW - Tier 1 General
Applied with salary + busiess income

applied on 27 Apr , 09
Ackwlegment received on 29 Apr, 09
Application went underconsidertiaion on 20 June.
Documents revceived with VISA on 3, Jul,2009.

Average time about 8-10 weeks.

My background was that i applied for HSMP from student in Jan ,2007. My application was refused becuase employer in Pakistan messed up with verification process so home office gave me zero points for all the categories as they said that we are unable to verify documents so HSMP case is refused. But they did not accuse me of deception.
When i applied this year, everything was from UK , my job , business dosucments and study. HO did not verify anything and granted visa in 10 weeks nearly.
My case was had become a bit complicated but case worker made it straight forward. So i hope good luck for future applicants.
Regards

Processing time- change from HSMP to Tier 1 (General)

Post by 10LONDON » Thu Jul 09, 2009 5:57 pm

Change from HSMP to Tier 1 (General)
In country application.
• Application sent on 17th June.
• Acknowledgement letter received 22nd June
• Passport and document received with visa on 25th June
Visa granted for 3 years.
It’s very quick (5 working days) service postal service although I was thinking of applying in person but very difficult to get an appointment. If anyone wants to apply in person make sure you book your appointment at least 3-4 months advance.

Documents sent:
1. No cover letter
2. One year’s payslip
3. Tax- P60
4. Employer letter with job and salary payment confirmation
5. One year bank statement
6. All other documents were submitted with previous HSMP application so didn’t require to submit with this application.

Got the HSMP Extension under Tier1 G

Post by avbrao » Sat Jul 11, 2009 4:18 pm

I have received my documents today (myself and three dependents). Here are the timelines,
Extension:HSMP to Tier 1 (General)
In country application.
- Application sent on 20th June.
- Acknowledgement letter received 23nd June
- Fees deducted on 23rd Jun
- Visa Stamped on 09th July
-Document received on 11 July.
Visa Granted for 3 years from the date of Expiry of current visa

Few Facts about my application that might help others.
-I have provided all the supporting evidences again, though they are provided with initial application.
-I have used my online saver account for maintenance funds and current account for earnings. I 've filed all the evidences in separate leaflets(covers) with details on it and clearly mentioned in cover letter (to avoid any confusion or oversight)

I have seen some questions about public funds in his forum (I too have this doubt earlier). My experience might help.
-We have used Maternity exemption.
-Using Child Free Education entitlement from council.
-Free NHS Prescriptions for Kids.
-I haven't declared any of the above in public funds and just ticked no in that section.

My Second kid was born in UK. So most of the questions related to immigration are marked NA. I have mentioned this in cover letter also.

I have signed the declarion for both my kids.

Finally, Thanks to Chetanojha for replying my question on traffic offences. I was bit worried about it before posting it here and relaxed after reading the response. I have read many other threads on this forum before filing the application and every post is worth mentioning.
Big Thanks to Every one on this forum.

Cheers!,

Hi London

I am planing to apply General Tier1 from US (Indian Citizen)

our payroll is every 15 days, so will get 2 payslips per month.
out of 15 months payslips i am missing only one Payslip (15 Days - which is middle of 15 months period), because i am on vacation on those 15 days. other than that i am good in all PBS.

Can you advise how to handle this.

thanks

Please be patient. Insha Allah things will be all-right. Do consider that late is better than rejection or any other complication.
