You certainly aren't alone. I was the same and I used to call missus twice a day to check if it has arrived and that was everyday at work.
I even used to imagine how long it is going to take by counting the number of approvals being received.

When it finally arrived, I was at home, first thing I did was to try judge the weight as for some reason, I think when they refuse your application, the sent you more papers than just two. It didn't feel like more than two so I opened it and just read the first line and next thing I remember I was waking the missus to tell her the news. I didn't even read the whole letter until later that night.

Perfect...Am sure it will arrive soon though but its just the waiting game or not knowing when...same here I call the missus...once a day though.. but I think I will increase the calling rate to twice a day... just to beat other's record...

Yea no worries..its quite encouraging to see alot of september approvals lately, should hear more news tomorrow as well.
Once again thanks for updating the spreadsheet, at least it give us hope that approvals are coming through for the september batch...

I wonder will approval communication sent by special or signed delivery, will any one has similar experience, not sure what I have got today in my parcel but Royal mail left a message stating they miss me. I need to wait until tomorrow morning.

The envelope comments made me giggle. I used to loo out for that brown envelope everyday. It arrived on Saturday as I was going to the gym (well I waited for the postman). When I saw him walking down the drive I shouted 'he has a brown envelope ' I'm sure he heard and thought I was crazy. Then I didn't open it for a minute trying to figure out what it would say. But then I saw the letter from my council in the pile, so I knew. I definitely went crazy!!

I am not so desperate as I used to be while waiting my ILR which took me to get 6 months. But I read every day three times every
single post on this thread. Its very pleasant to see many approvals for applications which are less than two months.

They sent it second class post. Not even recorded unless you have sent special delivery envelope.

2) another from council

If so, does the council get to know before hand

I didn't get any letter from council. Letter from HO advised to call the number to arrange ceremony. Naturalisation certificate might be sent before the approval letter but there is no way to find that out as when you call them, they ask you for the reference numbers which are on your approval letter.
