I have received an acknowledgement from HO but all it says is that the "Application has been received. If any document is required, the caseworker will write or call".
Congratulations buddy...dupuytren wrote:Hello all
I got my Tier 1 (General) Visa in Croydon today, applied in person and got it within 2-3 hours, everything went very smoothly and they didn't even ask me anything! I suppose my application was fairly straight forward, but I wanted to apply in person as my friend's application went rather complicated in Birmingham.
You may also needed one year bank statements, showing your wages being transfered in your account. These would be urs second proof of income.Guidance notes are the key for tier 1 General.Read them aloud again and again. If you have payslips then u do nt need letter from employer as both are considered from the same source.Bear in the mind if you claim 5 points for UK education then you may neeeded additional lettter from your educational institute.Otherwise just claim UK earning points which are alternate to UK education. The edge:you do nt need to provide further supporting documents for the later if you claimed points for earningslemango wrote:Hi all,
i m writng this hoping some one could help me.
i am currently on PSW and planning to apply to HSMP next week before my 28th B day.
I hv gone thru the guidance and kindly ask someone for a second opinion on the process and documents needs to be supplied as I find it bit confusing.
my case is very straightforward...hv done UK Masters and been working full time since June 2008 todate earning 22K on average on PSW visa.
nw to get HSMP,along with application form and photos I am plaaning to submit the followinmg
1.degree certificate for masters
2.pay slips for earnings
3.three month bank statement with balance always over £800 (19/06/2009 to 19/09/2009) for maintainance
4.passport for age
IS THIS ENOUGH?
guidance says i need two proof or blah ..blah....
does this mean I need to get letter from employer to suppliment the payslip and birth certificate to suppliment the passport.
plz advice with any other things i need to consider...im applying by post as it seems chepaer.
kindly expect ur reply and sorry for the long post and thanks for reading
i dont think u read the GUIDANCE clearly.. i advice u take time read the guidance 2-3times.. if u send as it is ur case is 101% rejected.. because u r not attaching ur bankstatements as 2nd proof.. i think u need to read guidance atleast 2-3times and come with quesions..lemango wrote:

I already tried to put in my 2 cents worth but had trouble with the board. I tried to enter the document format/text that I had used in my application so that it helps others. However, I checked later but it hasn't gotten posted. So I was wondering if there is an upper limit on the # of characters etc.,?
