I mean they are not going to push one application ahead of another just because one person sends emails every week and the other patiently waits, because that would not be fair.

I don't know what reason you would give for asking them to escalate it when the 12 weeks that they informed you at the start have not passed. Even if they write that it has been escalated it probably means that your application is getting closer to being looked at anyway. 8 to 12 weeks is the period when they probably start looking at deciding most applications.
I understand what you're saying but why would they send me an email about escalating when my 12 weeks are not up yet? I got confused from this email myself which is why I'm asking about it on this forum.

I've only emailed them once before this, which was 2 or 3 weeks ago. I haven't been pestering them because I know it's mostly just an automated response.

Wanted to ask if you've herd anything back since you got your last email??
Did you at the time ask for the case to be escalated or was the email sent by themselves ?
So you applied end of April if I'm correct ?

How long is the wait now? How long before they call my wife to submit her passport and then how long do they take to stamp the visa?
Inshallah I hope the wait isn't as long for you but my timeline doesn't look promising so far. Determination letter 20th of Jan and still no call letter.

Emailed them 2 weeks ago and got 2 emails one each week stating it's been esculated but no response. I've got an MP to contact them so we'll see what happens. I hope this means they're close to calling my wife.

This one application has taken almost 2 years!!

Why don't you send a fax to isb bhc with a covering letter and the determination letter and request a call letter be sent via email??

Alot of others have had the same issue and a few users have done the above and have had a fast turn around ... I posted a post with the fax number going back a few pages.

Hope it helps
Good luck

Dear ********,

Thank you for contacting the UK Visas and Immigration International Enquiry
Service.

We understand that you would like to know about the current status of your
visa application. I have tracked the status (GWF**********‏ and date of
birth 28/11/1994) and found that there are no current updates. This could
be because your application was submitted recently or the details that you
have provided above are incorrect.

If it is the former you may contact us at a later stage once our records
have been updated. We will be happy to give you the current status of your
application. If the information provided is incorrect then please provide
the 9-digit GWF number and the date of birth of the applicant.

Alternatively, once the process has been completed and a decision has been
made the visa application centre will be in contact as per process.

Though we try our best to complete the visa application process in 15
working days, each application is subject to an individual assessment and
processing times may vary, hence applicants are requested to be patient and
wait for the processing to be completed. You can check how long you'll have
to wait for a decision on your visa application in your country (if you
applied from outside the UK) by entering your details at the following
link: :
https://www.gov.uk/government/organisat ... on/about/a
bout-our-services . Please note that the actual processing times may vary
depending on a range of factors.

We have service level standards for processing UK visa applications. We
will process 90% of non-settlement applications within 3 weeks, 98% within
6 weeks and 100% within 12 weeks of the application (biometric taken) date;
and 95% of settlement applications within 12 weeks of the biometric taken
date and 100% within 24 weeks of the application (biometric taken) date.
Please note that we define 1 week as 5 working days.

We strongly recommend not to book prepaid travel and accommodation before
receiving the visa.

For any further details, or should you need to contact us again please
refer to our website at https://ukvi-international.faq-help.com/, select
appropriate country, click next and then select 'E-Mail form' and complete
as instructed. We will aim to come back to you within 1 day.

Kind regards,
Dean

Salam Brother Asif,

My Brother got the same email yesterday, exactly same format as well, he called them up today and they couldn't find his Mrs details. Funny enough my brother submitted his papers on the 20th April 2015. They said they have an internal investigation open to find out what happened to the file and will take up to 5 working days to get a reply. Best bet will be to call them up...

Dear Sajjaduk,

When should one set up the online account? If all goes to plan, I intend to submit online application by first week of August.

After how many days on average you get Gerry's appointment once you submit the online application? I am planning to visit Pakistan as close to appointment date as possible.

thanks brother
You can make an online account whenever your ready but only submit the application when you're ready to submit and then book an appointment.
Completed aapplications remain on system till submitted for 3 months before the account is then deleted
Thank you brother
Dear Sajjaduk,

I am with the current employer for 4+ years however, I was working on self employed basis until Dec last year but signed a contract to be on the payroll from late January.

Please advise what should an employment letter state? or sending just the contract letter fulfils the requirment

thank you

An employer letter must state gross salary per anum
Since when you started to work for them in your case January if that's when the contract was signed.
If paid Weekly or monthly and if you wish it can state gross and net salary each time you get paid.
Contract type permanent or temporary
contact details for employer including someone a eco may contact for example manager.

Also attach the contract with the letter
That should be sufficient

I think the TB test is valid for 6 months so it does not matter so long as it is valid.

The TB certificate must be valid At Time Of Application so it doesn't matter if it expires once the application is made
