Hi All

Just to share the progress, my husband applied for citizenship based on my naturalisation (I got this march). He applied on 3rd April and today got the letter saying that his application has successfully moved to second stage.

Seems very fast this time, mine took 11 months to get to second stage.

Regards,
Archna

I believe they have planned that this year's ceremony will be held every three months. They will start sending invitations from the first week of next month and the actually ceremony will be taking place in the first week June.

my citizenship application

Post by reetu012 » Sat Apr 27, 2013 4:36 pm

Hi

I have applied in last July'12 and got acknowledgement letter on Aug'12. Again on Sep'12 i got letter initial processing team saying that my application successfully proceed to 2nd stage of application. Since then whenever i contact INIS i got same reply like waiting for Garda reports.

When can i expect to get approval?

Anybody who got approval applied on July'12 or later

thanks

My partner is since October 2012 in second stage ... I guess that is the longest stage because they are checking so many different things (garda, revenue, etc).

It is only for the people who got the approvals on 1st March already. No news for new approval.

Hi IntegratedMigrant

Your assumption is right.

I emailed two times to citzenship section today. There was standard reply for my 1st email, although when i inquired about garda reports and few hours after i got a different/upated reply informing like:-

The application is at an advanced stage of processing & you will be
informed of the Ministers decision in due course

does it mean, i could get approval anytime soon after the next ceremony?

Anybody recd kind of this reply?

Thanks

Thats exactly it, you are more than likely to get approval anytime soon, even before the next ceremony which is on the 20th of May. But again, you will hear from them within 3 months time. Best of luck

I emailed the citizenship department today and was advised 'the processing of your application is currently at an advanced stage. The necessary checks have taken place and your application will be submitted to the Minister for his decision as soon as possible'.

Does this mean I should expect to be included in the ceremony after May? or will it take a further couple months for my application to be submitted to the Minister for decision?

I lodged my application in July 2012 and received an acknowledgment and confirmation in mid July 2012 that I had moved to the 2nd stage of processing. Since then no further communication except when I have chased for an update.

Just wondering if l would be invited for the next ceremony ("May 2013")because l was approved on the 25th March 2013? And how long (hours) does the ceremony take? Did anybody receive acknowledgement letter or receipt after payment of naturalization certificate fee?
Regards

No, INIS never send an acknowledgement letter or receipt. You have to ring them yourself to find out.
