I got this reply today.
Thank you for your application for permission to enter and stay in the UK

You will be aware that the Home Office is currently responding to the humanitarian crisis arising from the invasion of the Ukraine. Unfortunately, this has meant we have had to refocus our resources away from business as usual activity, which has created some delays in processing applications.

We will therefore be unable to decide your application within our published customer service targets, I am sorry for any delay and inconvenience this is causing. Please be assured that we are doing all we can to make a decision on your application as quickly as possible.

Please note Visa Application Centres are working under increased pressure to resolve applications. Do not attend a Visa Application Centre until you have been advised that your application has been decided and that your passport is ready for collection.

Hello,

Not sure if this is the right topic section.

Can I apply for eu settlement scheme for my mother inlaw who currently reside in Nigeria and not dependent on me?

In the same way can I apply for eu settlement scheme family permit for my niece who is dependent on me? To clarify my niece is my sister’s daughter.

Thanks everyone

No, this is not the correct place to ask this question.

I m sorry to say but I don't think people will get anything this week as the UKVI is not bothered about the spouse visa applications. It seems like we'll have to wait much longer than expected.

@klownking,

Where did you get this information.

I'm panicking as my spouse Biometrics was on the 27th December 2021
We are in the 15th Week and have only received an email from Home office regarding the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.
I'm hopeful that by the end of this month we will receive some good news from the Home office.

Thanks for your attention.

Temporary suspension of priority and super priority services for UK visa overseas applications

UK Visas and Immigration is currently prioritizing applications made by Ukrainian nationals and their family members in response to the humanitarian crisis arising from the invasion of Ukraine. As a result, UKVI have temporarily suspended priority and super priority services for new study, work, and family applications. Customers with standard applications in study, work, and family routes may experience some delays in the processing of their applications. The standard processing times for UK work visa applications is 3 weeks, and family-based applications may take up to 6 months. Standard visitor visa applications are still delayed and are currently taking up to 6 weeks to process, but priority options remain available in most locations.

i was sent this by a friend.
Will share the link to the website in next post

According to this, we will have to wait at least 6 months then. This is not good.

with all respect to the Ukrainian crises, its just not fair what is happening with us.. my only argument is they said they’ve only suspended priority so they should be able to meet the standard timeline. I mean this is just an article but if it’s true then they should at least update it on the Gov.uk website.
Its crazy how there’s still people out there being granted tourist visas and work skilled visas but no sign of anyone being granted a spouse visa. So an official update on an estimated timeframe should be given by them at least, we’ve paid crazy amounts for this!

J666my didn't you get any reply from your mp as of yet?
You can provide them with evidence that the skilled worker visas and tourist visas are getting decision on time then why not us? If they might be able to contact the home office on these basis. We are planning to do the same.

I messaged my local mp last week they said they still waiting on a reply. Other people are getting it you're right my grandma got hers yesterday lol.....but they have specific departments for different types of visas. So I'm guessing our visas are with the ones dealing with the Ukraine situation.

I got an update from my MP. He showed me the reply from UKVI which was pretty much the same reply I received from UKVI.

MP’s talk a big game but they can’t do anything.
