Can't understand how they can ask you for 2 years when the Fiance Visa is only granted for 6 months.curlyk wrote:Thanks DieselD. Details are already on SkyDrive I believe.
Council Tax bill has been changed recently, and has his name, and was back dated!
He couldnt open a bank account as back then didnt have his name on the council tax bill.
Just called UKBA and lady suggested send anything you have plus a covering letter to explain the situation. Separate letters addressed to him at the same address also count....he has a Tesco Club card...thankfully they dont need a VISA for that!
Thanks for this Damanisshallo, really helpful!Damanisshallo wrote:Please refer to this post for clarification and/or you can also refer to Page 28 of FM 1.7epicashley wrote: There is also a clause about having savings over £16,000, as well as additional savings (equal to 2.5x the amount you are 'under' the £18,600 threshold) if you don't have enough gross annual earnings to meet the requirement. For example, if you only make £18,000 a year, you are 'short' £600 of the £18,600 requirement. So you'd need an additional saving of £600 x 2.5, which equals £1,500. So savings of £16,000 + £1,500 = £17,500 in total).
This savings clause confuses me further - do they need us to have a combined income of £18,600 PLUS £16,000 of savings? Or is it just preferred to have savings? Confusing!)
XIAOZHU--- SHE APPLIED SET-MXiaozhu wrote:Grrrr, still waiting for our documents back, even though our MP told us on Friday that a decision had been made on the 6th Feb and our stuff was about to be posted...
ahh...so it could actually be another month or so! oh well. I was hoping for a quicker turn-around.shendean wrote:curlyk my friend applied on sept. and got her bio done on november and ask for more documents on december. and she had approval letter lastweek.
Hello, they asked us for the following;Faz89 wrote:hello..can i know what kind of documents they asking you
We had sent the documents you mentioned, but i think the my land registry document was the copy rather than the original - they both look pretty much the same. And then in addition, given I am the landlord, i wrote a letter this time stating that my husband lives with me! All a bit silly to be honest!Faz89 wrote:yeh but did you guys have not send those documents before, like 6 months bank statements, 6 months payslip, tenancy agreement or letter from landlord..so you apply before 9 july something
Xiaozhu- I was told by MP yesterday that they have dispatched the document. I called UKBA today and they confirmed that my documents has been sent out today and have given me Royal Mail tracking refrence. Have you tried calling UKBA to get an update?Xiaozhu wrote:Grrrr, still waiting for our documents back, even though our MP told us on Friday that a decision had been made on the 6th Feb and our stuff was about to be posted...
Probably yes - I have been told outright that applications less than 6 months old do not exist in the computer system at the Immigration Enquiry Bureau.Xiaozhu wrote:Just spoke to the UKBA and they said that our application was still being processed and we'd have to wait. When I told them our MP said a decision had been made on 6 Feb she put me on hold for a bit, then said she had limited access to our information and I would have to ask my MP again. I think it's because our application was made less than 6 months ago?
Xiaozhu: I had exactly the same response when i called them yesterday three times. But when i called them today twice, first time they said that it has been dispatched but do not know when and second time when i called today an hour ago they confirmed when it was dispatched and gave me royal mail ref number.Xiaozhu wrote:She found our application details and stuff but nothing on whether a decision had been made etc.
